 Summary
 The Manager - Inland Procurement (Heavy Haul and Project Cargo) is responsible for developing procurement strategies and managing projects related to inland/domestic transportation and international freight forwarding. This role provides day-to-day operational leadership in identifying strategic sourcing opportunities and managing the distribution of goods and services, with a focus on oversized project cargo and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). The Manager will support and implement departmental objectives, drive cost-saving initiatives, and lead cross-functional projects. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: facilitating and enhancing cross-functional vendor management processes, analyzing cost data, identifying negotiation opportunities, and supporting the refinement and establishment of performance goals and KPIs to measure savings and promote continuous improvement.
 Responsibilities
 <ul>
<li>Develop specialized sourcing strategies for project cargo, heavy-lift, breakbulk, and oversized/over-dimensional cargo (ODC) movements</li>
<li>Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with carriers, heavy-haul transporters, rigging/lifting specialists, and project freight forwarders</li>
<li>Manage RFQs/RFPs specifically for Oversized and heavy-haul transport services, ensuring accurate scope definition and compliance with project requirements</li>
<li>Perform risk assessments for critical cargo moves, including route surveys, safety compliance, regulatory approvals, escorts, and transport permits</li>
<li>Facilitate cross-functional communication with engineering, logistics, HSE, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project cargo requirements</li>
<li>Develop and implement strategies for procuring and distributing of goods or services</li>
<li>Implement changes and develop processes with strategies to improve procurement of goods and services, increase cost efficiencies, set policies, and align guidelines across all departments</li>
<li>Negotiation with vendors/suppliers to secure advantageous terms, finalize contract terms, budget forecast, and cost. Identify areas to reduce cost and opportunities to achieve financial goals and business' budget</li>
<li>Responsible for gathering and preparing documents like quotes, proposals and purchase terms and conditions from suppliers</li>
<li>Ensure alignment between strategic procurement initiatives for all GUS operations team and identify areas of improvements to continually drive performance and business results</li>
<li>Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to drive efficiency, streamline operations, and reduce costs</li>
<li>Perform risk management and evaluations for all suppliers, ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements</li>
<li>Provide regular procurement reports and updates</li>
<li>Ensure compliance and policies, ethics, and goals in engagement of vendors</li>
<li>Maintain a structured database of qualified heavy-haul carriers, rigging/lifting specialists, multi-axle trailer providers, and project freight forwarders</li>
<li>Responsible for maximizing the use of all the different tools in the ERP system to analyze trends to maintain a stead flow of the supply chain</li>
<li>Responsible for negotiating vendor contracts and understand price points and be able to negotiate effectively and create constructive relationships with vendors</li>
<li>Provide controls, oversight, and audit functions over supplier performance</li>
<li>Liaise with the leadership with current supply base needs, provide initial escalation point for contractual issues with supply base</li>
<li>Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business</li>
<li>Manage performance and workload of staff</li>
<li>Train staff and skills needed to enhance current skills for future growth</li>
</ul>
Compensation Range
 $101,000 - $113,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

 Summary
 The TEMP Analyst - MQ Inbound Operations (Otay Yard Operations) role will support yard operations at Otay Mesa. The Analyst staff will work under the general supervision of the yard manager to maintain proper yard operation. This person must have a commercial truck driving license for operating yard mule to organize yard inventory. The Analyst will manage inventory, and supervise gate inspection staffs & conduct requested tasks for proper yard operation and management.
 Compensation
 $22.00 per hour, 3 - 6 months contract
 Responsibilities
 <ul>
<li>Support the Yard Manager for all requested tasks pertaining to yard operations</li>
<li>Ensure yard is operating under CTPAT guidelines</li>
<li>Arrange trailers to be in proper staging position using yard mule or truck provided (Drive truck, hooks & unhooks trailer)</li>
<li>Assist other drivers for any issues dropping or picking up equipment from yard</li>
<li>Follows outbound team leader's guideline & directions for proper yard maintenance</li>
<li>Supervise gate inspection staffs to execute minimal wait time for drivers during inspection</li>
<li>Validate accuracy of inventory data via daily/weekly inventory check</li>
<li>Be a utility team player to allow efficient yard operation</li>
<li>Audit all other Otay yards (XTRA, TILI, IMEX, Overflow yard) for inventory accuracy</li>
<li>Maintain proper yard SOP & support establishing lean operations/improvement</li>
<li>Troubleshoot as needed to facilitate seamless yard operations under supervision of Yard Manager</li>
<li>Maintain proper inventory via YMS system records audit/review while keeping appropriate Ingate/Outgate records</li>
<li>Maintain 3rd party repair vendors for onsite services, including equipment repairs</li>
<li>Support other MQ FF operations departments (Claims, Inbound operations, Outbound operations, Planning, etc) when needed to combat discrepancies and/or fulfill customers and carriers inquiries related to yard operations</li>

 The Analyst - Wholesale Planning will take ownership of data-related projects for internal and external stakeholders. Manage projects from end-to-end, from conception and solution building to deployment/implementation and follow through. Projects involve data analysis and technical tools such as Excel, Power BI, SAP and internal systems. Data is used to deliver wholesale targets to operational teams internally and externally to customers as well.
 Responsibilities

<li>Utilizing SAP functionalities to collect, analyze and create accurate and timely forecasting report for logistics operations, enabling informed decisions-making and enhance overall supply chain efficiency</li>
<li>Develop and maintain modules and dashboards to automate interdepartmental KPI and inventory reports in Excel and Power BI loading/cleaning data models to build relationships and calculations across datasets</li>
<li>Collaborate with stakeholders in auto processing and vehicle logistics to produce and maintain end-to-end reports/analytics towards company KPI management and operations support</li>
