Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support within a busy medical practice, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This role involves managing patient interactions, handling medical documentation, and supporting clinical staff with various office functions. A TMHP STAR + PLUS program knowledge including EVV and billing is essential.Responsibilitiesk<ul><li>Assist with patient intake procedures, EVV system maintenance and billing.</li><li>Maintain patient files and electronic health records (EHR systems) in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Manage multi-line phone systems, answer patient inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, and provide exceptional customer service</li><li>Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry using Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel</li><li>Ensure compliance with health information management standards and assist in care plan documentation when necessary</li><li>Perform office management duties including appointment reminders, follow-up scheduling, and general clerical support</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Knowledge of medical billing, Medicaid and private insurance companies</li><li>Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key typing), and familiarity with office management software.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and health information management</li><li>Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience in a healthcare setting</li></ul>This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment where your administrative expertise will directly contribute to quality patient care.
