We are currently seeking an experienced cook who can provide outstanding client service and care with compassion and discretion. Our ideal candidate will; go the extra mile, be a team player, have prior experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene &amp; food preparation.
Position Requirements:<ul><li>Able to do repetitive work.</li><li>Able to prepare food according to food handlers guidelines.</li><li>Knowledge of cooking procedures.</li><li>Able to communicate with Prep Cooks &amp; Wait staff.</li><li>Knowledge of kitchen equipment.</li><li>Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment.</li><li>Knowledge of where and how everything is stored.</li><li>Label and date all food stored &amp; Rotate food as needed.</li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Flexible with job duties.</li><li>Obtain / have First Aid CPR certification.</li><li>Obtain / have Florida State Food Handlers certification as applicable.</li><li>Able to work all shifts and holidays.</li><li>Follow opening and closing procedures.</li><li>Able to work in a high pace and hot environment.</li><li>Able to multi-task.</li><li>Stand and walk for long periods of time.</li><li>Keep a clean, stocked and tidy workspace.</li><li>Be able to self-motivate in work environment.</li><li>Able to follow written or verbal instructions.</li><li>Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality.</li><li>Adheres to all company policies and procedures.</li><li>Attends in-service training, when necessary.</li><li>Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or director.</li></ul>
REQUIRED:<ul><li>High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)</li><li>2-3 years of cooking experience in a long-term care environment highly preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with a variety of cooking methods and procedures.</li><li>Ability to sequence and schedule demands and determining timing for use in equipment.</li><li>Food Service Sanitation Certificate preferred.</li><li>ServSafe Certification preferred.</li><li>Strong leader with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills</li><li>Flexibility with schedule</li></ul>
