Register patients, verify insurance, and process co-pays.</li><li>
Schedule appointments and coordinate specialist referrals.</li><li>
Answer patient inquiries and update them on care status.</li><li>
Inform staff of patient flow and assist with patient preparation.</li><li>
Record medical history, take vitals, and escalate critical cases.</li><li>
Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., flu, strep, ECG).</li><li>
Perform phlebotomy and administer injections as needed.
</li><li>Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage inventory.</li><li>
Update medical records and scan documents.</li><li>
Answer phone calls and handle mail.</li><li>
Perform patient follow-up and maintain reception area.</li><li>
Handle opening/closing duties, cash out, and secure the building.</li><li>
Conduct daily equipment checks and submit repair tickets.</li><li>

High School Diploma required</li><li>
Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred
</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire <i>(American Red Cross or American Heart Association)</i></li></ul><p><b>
One of the following certifications is required (or must obtain within 15 months of hire)</b>:</p><ul><li>
CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association)</li><li>
CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant)</li><li>
RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists)</li><li>
NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)</li><li>
NRCMA- Nationally Registered Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)</li></ul><p>
Additionally, CPOE certification for order entry is required within two weeks of start date and must be kept active in lieu of MA certification within the first 15 months of hire.</p><p></p><p><b><i><br>
In lieu of an approved MA Certification, we will also accept the following certifications at the time of hire:</i></b></p><ul><li>
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or LPN or RN</li><li>
