What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>
Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds</li><li>
Active state medical license</li><li>
2&ndash;5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with at least 18 months in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting</li><li>
Experience treating patients across all age groups</li><li>
Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays</li><li>
Strong communication and listening skills</li><li>
Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers</li></ul>
Your Role
As a Physician at Mercy-GoHealth, you&rsquo;ll independently provide a wide range of clinical services, including:<ul><li>
Examining and treating patients with acute conditions</li><li>
Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests</li><li>
Making diagnoses and prescribing medications</li><li>
Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations</li><li>
Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care</li><li>
Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support</li><li>
Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting</li></ul>

Job Summary
The Senior Revenue Accountant is a key contributor to the Revenue Accounting team, responsible for ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of revenue-related financial data in a multi-entity healthcare environment. This role oversees critical components of the month end close process, designs and enhances revenue accounting policies, and provides meaningful analysis to support operational and financial -decision making. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical accounting expertise-, strong analytical acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Qualifications
Education Required:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting.</li></ul>
Work Experience Required:<ul><li>3+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in revenue accounting or healthcare finance.</li><li>Experience working with fully integrated ERP or accounting systems.</li><li>Experience supporting year-end audit requirements and contributing to audit readiness.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications, Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experience, etc.:<ul><li>CPA or progress toward certification</li><li>Workday experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</li><li>Strong judgment, interpersonal skills, and cross‑department collaboration.</li><li>Solid understanding of healthcare revenue recognition and GAAP principles.</li><li>Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas).</li><li>Strong grasp of financial statements and ability to interpret complex data.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.</li><li>Clear written and verbal communication of financial concepts.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.</li><li>High integrity, strong work ethic, and proactive problem‑solving mindset.</li></ul>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Revenue Accounting &amp; Month-End Close<ul><li>Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, ensuring accurate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP.</li><li>Lead the month‑end close process for all revenue streams, ensuring deadlines are met and variances are fully analyzed and explained.</li><li>Calculate and maintain Contractual and Bad Debt Allowances for patient revenue, including trend analysis and model refinements.</li><li>Perform detailed reviews of P&amp;L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with operational activity. Financial Analysis &amp; Reporting</li><li>Prepare and present revenue‑related analyses to management, providing insights into drivers, variances, and trends.</li><li>Support monthly financial review meetings by providing robust explanations for fluctuations and performance metrics.</li><li>Assist with revenue forecasting and budgeting activities by supplying historical data, insights, and variance drivers. Reconciliations &amp; Compliance</li><li>Prepare and complete Balance Sheet reconciliations for assigned revenue‑related general ledger accounts with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Support external and internal audit requests by preparing schedules, explaining methodologies, and documenting processes.</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies, recommending improvements where needed. Process Improvement &amp; Cross-Functional Collaboration</li><li>Partner with Billing, FP&amp;A, Operations, and IT teams to enhance data accuracy, close efficiencies, and cross‑functional alignment.</li><li>Proactively identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.</li><li>Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and testing related to revenue accounting and reporting.</li><li>Support ad hoc financial and operational projects assigned.</li></ul>

Bonus potential of up to $600/month.

CPOE certification for order entry is required within two weeks of start date.
Essential Responsibilities<ul><li>
Register patients and verify insurance and documentation</li><li>
Schedule appointments and process co-pays</li><li>
Prepare patients for examination and record medical history</li><li>
Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments</li><li>
Conduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG)</li><li>
Assist providers with patient care and procedures</li><li>
Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records</li><li>
Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals</li><li>
Perform opening/closing duties and maintain equipment quality checks</li><li>
Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment</li><li>
