Must hold Intervention Specialist requirements.General duties: Provide special education instruction and support to K-12 students in a school setting.Essential Functions: Developing and maintaining current IEPs and progress monitoring and delivering direct instruction according to IEP goals and objectives. Coordinating documentation and data collection with school psychologist for re-evaluations to determine continued eligibility for special education services. Notifying special education coordinator/district representative of need for amendments due to progress indicators or changes in services and changes in residence, custody, etc. Collaborating with district of residence representatives to coordinate services for students accessing state special needs scholarships. The role involves providing special education instruction to K-12 students, emphasizing communication and experience working with students. Premium skills such as curriculum development and lesson planning are essential for creating effective educational programs. Relevant skills in tutoring and childcare experience are beneficial for supporting student development. Current LSW (license in social work)2. Submission of professional application materials.3. Valid Ohio driver&rsquo;s license and access to a vehicle4. Prior experience working with students preferredCONTRACT:Employment contract is contingent upon availability of funding; contract days determined by the school district; other terms and conditions of employment as per the School Board policies and procedures.SALARY:Based on salary schedule and/or commensurate with experience and education.DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and Student Services. Play a pivotal role in our students' lives by providing mental health analyses, group therapy, and individualized behavior modification plans. You will also empower our staff through trauma-informed training, ensuring our environments remain safe and supportive for all.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify students who need additional behavioral supports and design and implement behavior plans where neededProvide training to staff on trauma informed practices, behavior management and modification, and other mental health topics as neededConduct mental health analyses to identify student needs and issues.Establish and maintain behavioral goals and objectives for individual students; monitor, assess and adjust behavior modification activities, behavior training programs and related plans and strategies in response to student needs, behavioral issues and progress.Provide specialized support in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals, objectives and related behavior planning; monitor and assess IEP goals; attend and participate in IEP and various other staff meetings.Provide case management services in support of assigned studentsWork with staff on designing and implementing classrooms and behavior support activitiesCoordinate behavior support services and related communications and information between IEP team, staff, teachers and othersKeep others current regarding student behavioral progress.Collaborate with Director of Partnerships and Family Engagement to identify community organizations that support mental health and design partnershipsConduct group therapy at each labObserve and analyze student behavior in the labMonitor student behavior in the home through telephone communications and home visits, as neededProvide technical support to teachers with monitoring, implementing and supervising students in classroomsCommunicate with students, staff, faculty, families and outside agencies to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns.Use GOAL software to increase productivity and efficiencyPrepare detailed and concise notes regarding student progress; compile information and data and prepare and maintain various records, reports and files related to students, behavior plans, IEP&rsquo;s, observations, training programs and assigned activities.Attend mandatory trainings as required for this position.Attend six face to face staff meetings at Mansfield lab and graduationOnline state mandated trainings for accreditation, ie Public Schoolworks, Child Abuse, Gifted, etc.Serve as a mentor for an assigned group of students. Mentors are expected to make weekly contact in an effort to build and maintain relationships with students and their families.
