Industrial Electrician Job Summary:
Performs the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of our complex foundry and mill equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. Responsible to troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, motors, gear boxes, bearings, gauges and test equipment.<ul><li>Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and rebuilding, on industrial production machinery and supporting equipment.</li><li>Review and assist with the creation of the maintenance schedule, work instructions, work logs and other company information.</li><li>Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes.</li><li>Interpret safety and work instructions, both verbal and written, to understand required specifications.</li><li>Inspect machinery to maintain specified parameters.</li><li>Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines, in close quarters and hot areas performing analysis and repair work.</li><li>Operate mobile equipment, such as forklift, skid steer loader, shop crane, scissor lift, and articulating man lift, as required to perform maintenance duties.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electric drawings and Blueprints.</li><li>Must possess a basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot general mechanical systems such as Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Rotating Assemblies (bearings, &amp; couplings, gears &amp; gear trains, chains &amp; sprockets, brakes &amp; clutches, belts &amp; pulleys).</li><li>Knowledge in troubleshooting and rebuilding various types of pumps, e.g. centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps.</li><li>Ability to use precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.</li><li>Experience with 13.2 volts, DC transformers from 12v to 1200v, 480 vac.</li><li>Knowledge of Control Logix, Allan Bradley, Automax, Automate and Modicon.</li><li>Use of Fluke 289 multimeter (company provided), ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes.</li><li>Knowledge of AC and reliance DC drives.</li><li>Knowledge of Red Lion controls preferred.</li><li>Experience with replacing motor brushes on 1600 hp DC motors down to 5 hp.</li><li>Knowledge of gas burners is essential.</li><li>Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge, ability and aptitude.</li><li>Must be able to analyze and execute problem solving techniques.</li><li>Must have the ability to work in a team setting as well as be a self-starter that can multitask.</li><li>Basic Computer Skills</li></ul>
