What You&rsquo;ll Do (Responsibilities):</b></p><p>
As the Assistant Manager, you will assist the restaurant manager in profitably operating the restaurant within the practices and procedures established by Company Operations. This position is responsible for cost control, customer service, restaurant and employee appearance, building sales, maximizing profits, and employee development.</p><p><b>
What You&rsquo;ll Bring (Requirements):</b></p><ul><li>
A minimum of 1 year&rsquo;s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.</li><li>
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.</li><li>
Proficiency in POS systems.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.</li><li>
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.</li></ul><p><i>

Assistant Manager

</div><div>Entering and leaving Golden Corral are two of the most critical moments in the guest&rsquo;s experience because lasting impressions are formed during these moments. The Cashier / Host&rsquo;s interactions with our guests and these impressions ultimately dictate whether the guest will return.</div>
<div><b>Guest Service:</b></div>
<ul><li>Greets guests as they enter the restaurant and offers a sincere, personal invitation to return as the guests leave.</li>
<li>Offers assistance to any guests who may need help.</li>
<li>Processes GC On the Go To-Go orders.</li>
<li>Friendly and courteous on the phone.</li>
<li>Handles payments accurately.</li>
<li>Knows and follows position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery.</li>
<li>Knows what is on buffet for the day and has a full knowledge of menu and prices.</li>
</ul><div><b>Cleanliness:</b></div>
<ul><li>Maintains organization and cleanliness at the vestibule, host/cashier station and surrounding areas.</li>
<li>May help ensure the buffet is set up properly and labels are correct. Cleans all buffets and surrounding areas.</li>
<li>Follows local health department laws.</li>
<li>Performs duty roster and ensures cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met.</li>
</ul><div><b>Operational Excellence:</b></div>
<ul><li>Informs the Manager when the money in the drawer needs to be taken to the safe to reduce the risk of robbery.</li>
<li>Ensures drawer balances with daily paperwork.</li>

</ul><div>Position requires standing and walking 3 to 4 hours without a rest break. Regular, moderate (1-35 lbs.) lifting and carrying; bending and reaching is required. Work environment requires the use of tools such as cash register, drink dispenser and glasses and a forceful grip is required for the use of these tools. Work setting is within the restaurant.</div>
