Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
 POSITION SUMMARY:
Receives, selects, stores and loads products and/or materials, and maintains packaging and palletizing material for finished product. Safely operates all material handling equipment. Accurately completes all associated paperwork. Maintains clean work area consistent with company standards and from a safety, food safety, quality and efficient perspective.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health, safety, food safety, and quality standards, legal compliance, rules, regulations and practices of the facility.
2. Continuously picks, lifts, carries, and places product into a pallet. Moves product into a trailer or storage unit; is responsible for visually inspecting incoming and outgoing warehouse products to determine acceptability for shipment and/or receiving of product.
3. Reads labels and/or printing on product containers and associated documents. Counts and calculates quantity of product to verify accuracy of shipment.
4. Must meet company safety, accuracy, and productivity standards. Steps into the driving position and uses full range of peripheral vision to pallet jack in an accident-free manner.
5. Pre-weigh raw ingredients for the compounding deck by following instructions on batch card.
6. Use brooms, mops, and other cleaning materials (including solvents and soaps) to clean the work area. Completes any other functions that may be assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED.</li><li>One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li></ul>
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
<ul><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.</li><li>Ability to write simple correspondence.</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate, present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, leaders, and other team members of the organization.</li><li>Ability to use effective problem-solving skills and make decisions using available resources</li></ul>
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
<ul><li>Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in accordance with production paperwork.</li><li>Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul><li>Ability to operate sit down and stand-up forklift trucks.</li><li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing.</li><li>Sit 8 or more hours per day.</li><li>Stand/walk 7 or more hours per day.</li><li>Continuously talk/hear throughout the day.</li><li>Frequently bend, reach, twist/turn and grip/grasp.</li><li>Frequently use eye/hand coordination and use handling/fingering to handle boxes, use hoses or tools.</li><li>Frequently lift and carry less than 5 pounds from floor level to overhead.</li><li>Occasionally kneel/crawl, squat or climb.</li><li>Occasionally use eye/hand/foot coordination when handling film carts.</li><li>Occasionally use fine motor tasks and taste/smell.</li><li>Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs for an entire shift from floor level to shoulder height.</li><li>Occasionally carry up to 50 lbs 50-100 feet.</li><li>Push film cart requiring 25 lbs of force 100 feet.</li><li>Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.</li></ul>
ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS:
<ul><li>Constantly work in damp, wet, humid and slippery environments.</li><li>Constantly work near moving equipment with fumes or airborne debris.</li><li>Constantly work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.</li><li>Occasionally work with toxic or caustic chemicals.</li><li>Constantly work in extreme heat/cold.</li><li>Occasionally work with hand tools causing segmental or whole-body vibration.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bump cap, hair net, safety glasses, hearing protection, and uniform or smock.</li><li>Sit down and stand-up forklifts</li><li>Push/pull attachment and fork extensions</li><li>Cut resistant gloves.</li><li>Battery extractor and hoist mechanism.</li><li>Battery charging station.</li><li>Computer system.</li><li>Food safety knife and small hand tools.</li></ul>

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Blender Operator plays a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient production operations. The primary responsibilities include maintaining personal and team safety, adhering to food safety standards, and ensuring product quality. Daily duties in production may include monitoring production lines and quality, machine operations within all areas of Frozen departments, housekeeping, loading, lifting, and any other assigned tasks. The role demands a fast-paced, team-oriented approach. Associates must be adept at following established protocols across different departments and are responsible for keeping their work areas clean while effectively managing their time to complete tasks promptly. Work shifts and tasks may vary based on departmental requirements. 
WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL BE DOING<ul><li>
Formulate 6 to 8 thousand-pound batches of ground beef to a predetermined, specified</li><li>
Use statistical process control (SPC) tools (i.e., averages, ranges, standard deviations, graphs, diagrams, charts, etc.) to accumulate and evaluate processing and raw materials data for fact-based decisions to continually improve the batching and control process and positively impact bottom-line business results
</li><li>Perform analytical tests of product in-process with accuracy and speed, and evaluate the results, making any necessary adjustments to maintain an uninterrupted supply of quality product to the finish grinders
</li><li>Knowledgeable in PPE, OSHA, MSDS, lock-out/tag-out, GMP, SSOP, and HACCP
</li><li>Observe and analyze equipment performance and report any problems to your supervisor
</li><li>Read and understand all company policies, procedures, and guidelines as they pertain to you and your job
</li><li>Keep the area clean and clear of any safety hazard issues
</li><li>Other assigned duties as required
</li><li>Must be able to understand operator functions in assigned operator roles such as Assembly/Disassembly, Scale Room Operator, and/or Block Person.</li><li>
Must be able to properly perform rework tasks.</li><li>
Document completed work as required by the supervisor.</li><li>
Compliance with all other duties assigned.</li></ul> 
WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL NEED

Must display &ldquo;hands-on knowledge&rdquo; of all assigned machines and procedures in the Grinding Room, forming area, Packaging area, Auto Packer area, Scale Room area, and/or Finished Product Robot area.</li></ul>
