<div>The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is primarily responsible for politely greeting patients, data entry into the practice management and other data systems; and monitoring various statistical and informational reports. The PSR duties are shared and involve tasks associated with efficient flow of patients, such as answering phones, making appointments, and registering patients.

This position is at our Florida Suites Urgent Care Clinic. 
This position will be required to have flexibility to work Monday - Saturday, between the hours of 8am-9pm, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Compensation: $21.00 - $22.05 an hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Communicates effectively by using welcoming words, appropriate body language, eye contact and smiling. Displays a willingness to explore and acknowledge patient needs, expectations and values. Responds to patient needs in ways that are helpful and beyond expectation. Collaboratively works with patients to positively affect their health outcomes.</li>
<li>Responsible for beginning of the day and end of the day processes including opening and closing the clinic and arming and disarming alarm as needed.</li>
<li>Make appointments, registers and orients all patients to clinic policies regarding services offered, appointment system, after hour&rsquo;s coverage, collection policy, etc.</li>
<li>Enters, reviews, and makes necessary changes to all patient registration information in the practice management system in accordance with established procedures.</li>
<li>Performs daily pre-flow procedures, works collaboratively with the back office personnel to process and complete the patient encounter and collect amounts due in accordance with established procedures.</li>
<li>Researches and answers any questions/correspondence on a patient's account in a timely and professional manner and with regard to patient confidentiality.</li>
<li>Using proper phone etiquette answers all incoming calls by 3rd ring and distributes calls as appropriate including message taking and distribution.</li>
<li>Maintains neat and organized work area with appropriate labeling of files as needed.</li>
<li>Carries out Health Information Representative, functions as assigned.</li>
<li>Proactive in participating in industry best practices and corporate quality improvement initiatives</li>
<li>Builds positive relationships with other staff, providers, and supportive departments to maximize accessibility of care to all patients.</li>
<li>Adheres to the GVHC Mission, Vision, and Values, Standards of Conduct and HIPPA principles.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Min. Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE: basic medical front office practices, basic computer operations

SKILLS: strong typing skills, strong written and verbal communication

ABILITY TO: work well with people; communicate effectively and respectfully in English / Spanish; work with computers and other modern office equipment; work in a busy environment; multi-task, flexibility to travel and accommodate changes in daily and hourly schedules

Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear over the telephone. Must be able to reach above the shoulder level, able to bend, squat, sit, and stand.

Work Environment
The work environment is usually fast paced with a moderate noise level.

Education/Experience Requirements
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li>
<li>Bilingual English/Spanish preferred</li>
<li>Aptitude for detail and precision;</li>
<li>2-3 years experience in medical/data processing field preferred</li>
<li>Certificated through medical front office training program preferred</li>
<li>Typing certificate preferred &gt;35 wpm.</li>

Patient Services Representative (Florida Suites Urgent Care)

<div>The Registered Dental Assistant will have the responsibility for assisting the dentist. The Registered Dental Assistant reports directly to the supervising dentist.

This position will work out of the Hanshaw Dental Clinic. 
Schedule is Monday- Friday, working from 7:45am - 4:30pm

Compensation: $23.57 - $24.75 an hour

<li>Prepare tray set-up, sterile instruments.</li>
<li>Pass and receive instruments.</li>
<li>Mix cements, amalgam and impression materials.</li>
<li>Oral evacuation and retraction.</li>
<li>Seat, prepare, and dismiss patients.</li>
<li>Receive and place telephone calls.</li>
<li>Appointment control.</li>
<li>Inventory control.</li>
<li>Routine maintenance of equipment.</li>
<li>Operatory preparation and clean-up.</li>
<li>Oral hygiene instructions.</li>
<li>Records management.</li>
<li>Take blood pressure; take oral temperature.</li>
<li>Develop and mount x-ray.</li>
<li>Pour and trim diagnostic casts.</li>
<li>Fabricate custom trays.</li>
<li>Coronal polishing with State Board approved course.</li>
<li>Temporary cementation and removal of temporary crowns.</li>
<li>Size crowns and bands.</li>
<li>Remove cement supra-gingivally.</li>
<li>Place bases and liners on sound dentin.</li>
<li>Test pulp vitality.</li>
<li>Dry canals with absorbent points.</li>
<li>Mouth mirror inspection of oral cavity.</li>
<li>Place, wedge, and remove matrix.</li>
<li>Topical application of fluoride.</li>
<li>Remove sutures.</li>
<li>Other duties as required.</li>
</ul>
Min. Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE: Dental office procedures and terminology. SKILLS: Current California Registered Dental Assistant Licensure. X-Ray Licensure. ABILITY TO: Perform dental offices procedures as assigned.

Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels). Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must have high manual texterity. Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouching, reaching, kneeling, twisting/turning, fingering and feeling.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually average.

Education/Experience Requirements:

<li>Current California Registered Dental Assistant Licensure.</li>
<li>X-Ray License.</li>
<li>CPR/BLS Card Certified by American Heart Association</li>
<li>Dental office procedures and terminology.</li>
<li>GED or High school graduate.</li>
<li>Clerical and computer skills.</li>
