GOLDEN VIEW LLC/ SILVER VIEW LLCMED TECH/CAREGIVER /FT)-CBRF Position Description:Med Tech/Caregiver-CBRF certifiedQuality-focused assisted living facility is looking for FULL TIME med tech/caregivers to work in our homelike environment. Must be accurate, patient, reliable, considerate, team=oriented and above all strive to give the residents the quality of care they deserve. Must have current medication tech CBRF certificate in good standing.Employees are required to work every other weekend and some holidays. In addition to medication-passer certificate, having all CBRF certificates is a plus. Background checks and drug testing will be conducted.Job Summary:Provide direct care which includes personal cares, housekeeping, linen services, and activities that meet the physical, emotional, psycho-social and spiritual needs of each individual. Care will be provided based on comfort, safety and maximizing each individual&rsquo;s capabilities.Essential Duties:-Assist individuals with: baths, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, transferring, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, setting up appointments, transporting, administering medication, etc as designated by ISP/care plan.-Observes individual for changes in skin condition, injuries, appetite, emotional needs, etc and report such observations to the nurse/supervisor. Take and records vital signs as directed.-Utilizes therapeutic techniques such as validation, reassurance, reminiscing, redirection that is consistent with each person&rsquo;s ISP/care plan.-Assist in the planning, organizing, and implementing of activities that meet individual&rsquo;s needs including 1:1 interaction. Document accordingly.-Respond to emergencies. Performs basic first aid as necessary and arranges for emergency services.-Ensures accurate and timely documentation including but not limited to daily charting, medication administration record and incident reports.-Administers and reorders medication per protocol as delegated by the nurse.-Communicates with individuals, families, volunteers, and the community in a caring manner and communicates any concerns encountered to the nurse, supervisor or house manager.-Reads memos and checks mailbox at the beginning of each shift.-Maintains strict code of confidentiality regarding individuals, families and private employee matters.-Reports any inappropriate, unsafe, suspected abuse or neglect immediately to management.-Attends all mandatory in-services and completes DHS 83 training requirements.-Adheres to safe use of equipment. Requests further orientation/instruction if needed.-Maintains reliable attendance in accordance with attendance policy.-Assumes charge duties and/or work assignment as directed.-Washes, folds, sort and delivers personal clothing.-Delivers, distributes and restocks supplies in designated areas.-Removes waste materials from assigned areas.-Maintains household daily operations and reports maintenance and housekeeping issues to promote a safe, clean, homelike environment.-Adheres to dress code.-Demonstrates support for all corporate and management decisions.- Prepares and cooks food following regulatory guidelines-Performs all other duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities:-Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.-Adheres to and exhibits our core values:Integrity: Moral wholeness, soundness, uprightness, honesty and sincerity as a basis of trustworthiness.Compassion: Feeling with others, being one with others in their sorrows and joys.Excellence: Outstanding achievement, merit, continually surpassing standards to achieve/maintain quality.-Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times.-Adheres to organizational and department specific safety standards and guidelines.-Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members.-Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.Education:-High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience:1-2 year experience and has demonstrated compassion in working with the elderly and those with dementia-related diagnoses.Job Type: Full-timePay: $12.00 - $12.01 per hourWork Location: In person
