We are a law firm handling matrimonial, family law, personal injury, and real estate matters. Our team is dedicated to providing professional and compassionate legal services while maintaining the highest level of integrity and client care.We are seeking a part-time Legal Assistant for approximately 15 hour per week to support our attorneys with administrative and legal tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, self-starter, strong computer knowledge a must, and familiar with legal proceedings, or willing to learn.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings</li><li>File documents with the court (NYSCEF and other e-filing systems)</li><li>Maintain case files and client records</li><li>Schedule court appearances, closings, and client meetings</li><li>Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel</li><li>Assist with billing, scanning, and general office tasks as needed</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Prior experience in matrimonial, personal injury, or real estate law preferred</li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with NYSCEF e-filing</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 15 &ndash; 20 per weekWork Location: In person
