Primary Responsibility:</div>
<ul><li>Assist store management with the execution of daily operations of a retail store, excluding personnel issues.</li>
</ul><div>Job Functions:</div>
<ul><li>Assist store management with the following job functions.</li>
<li>General operations, including acquisition, display, and sale of merchandise to include rotation of goods, pricing, adequate inventory, etc.</li>
<li>Performing administrative and clerical duties of store operations. Providing sales reports and accurate retail information on a timely basis.</li>
<li>Overseeing all personnel, clients and volunteers assigned to the retail store.</li>
<li>Directing training.</li>
<li>Enforcing store procedures ad GIWM policies on a day-to-day basis.</li>
<li>Ensuring grounds and building are properly maintained. Reporting need for repairs and recommending replacement as necessary.</li>
<li>Enhancing security and loss prevention.</li>
<li>Ensuring safety compliance for all OSHA/MIOSHA requirements, and GIWM safety regulations are adhered to.</li>
<li>Perform job functions of a Lead Cashier, Retail Associate, as required.</li>
</ul><div>Education:</div>
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
</ul><div>Experience:</div>
<ul><li>Minimum of one year experience in retail operations required.</li>
</ul><div>Work Conditions:</div>
<ul><li>Inside generally 100%, however, may include outside work on occasion.</li>
<li>Moderate emotional effort. Work environment occasionally hectic with occasional high stress. Short deadlines requiring some overtime. Weekends and holidays required.</li>
<li>Available and on call for emergency situations at stores.</li>
<li>Use of personal vehicle to conduct agency business, as needed.</li>
<li>Some travel required for off-site meetings and coverage at other stores.</li>
</ul><div>Core Competencies:</div>
<ul><li>Demonstrate accuracy with accounting and book keeping.</li>
<li>Handle customer complaints in a courteous and responsible manner.</li>
<li>Must be able to provide positive internal and external customer relations and to easily interact and work with individuals referred for training.</li>
<li>Demonstrate ability to think independently in supervisor's absence.</li>
<li>Meet production goals.</li>
<li>Demonstrate quality control and accuracy with sorting and pricing guidelines.</li>
<li>Kaizen principles: follow 6S Checklist, procedures, signage and layout.</li>
<li>Maintain a good driving record, valid insurance, valid driver license.</li>
<li>Maintain a valid powered industrial truck license, when required.</li></ul></div>
