This position will work at the entrance to our Store greeting customers as they enter the building, letting customers into the restrooms, checking receipts when customers are leaving and thanking customers for shopping with us. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with customer service experience who are willing to engage with customers. Excellent customer service skills are a must!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate I, Retail Customer Host will provide a welcoming first impression, greeting customers as they enter the store and thanking customers as they exit the store. The Associate will be in contact with customers and is expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service. As the first interaction a customer has with the store, it is important the Associate ensures a positive shopping experience.

Part of the Associate&rsquo;s role is receipt checking, a loss prevention measure to verify customer receipts against purchases to prevent theft and fraud, while also ensuring accuracy in transactions and providing a point of customer service. They are responsible for identifying discrepancies and communicating with customers and management to resolve problems and maintain a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Greeting Customers:
<ul>
<li>Welcome the customers with a warm smile and a genuine greeting.</li>
<li>Provide store information, answer questions, offer shopping carts or hand basket, direct customers to specific areas, manage customer flow during busy times, and maintain a friendly and organized entrance.</li>
<li>Share relevant store information with the customer, such where items are located, discounts, etc.</li>
<li>Share any upcoming event information with the customer.</li>
</ul>
Customer Exits:
<ul>
<li>Thank the customer sincerely for shopping with us and supporting our mission.</li>
<li>Customers&rsquo; receipts should be checked to verify purchases upon leaving the store. Merchandise that cannot be validated by the receipt should be referred to point of sale (POS) for additional customer service.</li>
<li>If the customer does not have a receipt or has an invalid receipt, politely ask the customer to return to the store to be processed through the POS.</li>
<li>File appropriate reports with Risk department.</li>
</ul>
Other:
<ul>
<li>Technology Proficiency: Use of handheld scanners, devices etc. to monitor transactions and or report incidents via Think Risk.
</li><li>Good observation: Keen sense of observation to monitor people and identify suspicious behavior while maintaining calm demeanor.</li>

Client Care:

Any Contractor or its agent(s), who does not comply with C.R.S. &sect;27-90-111 and DHS Policy VI-2.4, may, at the sole discretion of the State, be suspended or terminated.
<ul><li>Per the Colorado Revised Statutes 2016; Title 27- Behavioral Health: 27-90-111: Employment of personnel &ndash; screening of applicants &ndash; disqualifications from employment:</li></ul>
<ul>
<li>(4) Prior to the department's permanent employment of a person in a position that would require that person to have direct contact with any vulnerable person, the executive director or any division head of the department shall make an inquiry to the director of the Colorado bureau of investigation to ascertain whether the person has a criminal history. The person's employment shall be conditional upon a satisfactory criminal background check. Any criminal background check conducted pursuant to this subsection (4) shall include but need not be limited to arrests, conviction records, and the disposition of any criminal charges. The department shall require the person to have his or her fingerprints taken by a local law enforcement agency. The local law enforcement agency shall forward those fingerprints to the Colorado bureau of investigation for the purpose of fingerprint processing utilizing the files and records of the Colorado bureau of investigation and the federal bureau of investigation. The department shall pay for the costs of criminal background checks conducted pursuant to this section out of existing appropriations.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Per Contract C2016-0024 &ndash; Colorado Springs School District 11: C.32 BACKGROUND CHECKS OF EMPLOYEES:</li></ul>
<ul>
<li>Provider shall ensure that all assigned staff have undergone background checks with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and have been fingerprinted and are approved to work with children. The CDE is clear in its requirements and intent that the Provider is required to ensure all its employees (and/or subcontractors) who will interact with students will be fingerprinted and background checked pursuant to CDE licensure procedures. The District relies on the Provider to properly utilize the data it receives from background investigations and fingerprinting, and expects the Provider to use that information in its decisions to hire staff to provide services under this agreement The Provider is also responsible for informing the District if any negative information surfaces that may be detrimental to the conduct and performance under this agreement.</li>
</ul>
a) The Contractor shall not utilize, in the performance of this contract, any laborer or employee who has been convicted of a violent crime or a crime of such nature (i.e. child related offenses) as to categorize the person as being unsuitable for working around school children, or has engaged in such conduct, in the last five years, as to be similarly categorized. Suitability shall be determined by performance of security/background checks (as are necessary in light of the potential of contact with District students, staff, property, or sensitive records maintained at District sites) by the contractor on all laborers and employees utilized in the performance of the work.

b) When there is reasonable doubt regarding a particular person's suitability, a request may be made through the District Contracting Officer for an approval/opinion prior to the individual beginning work. The Contractor shall submit copies of all security/background checks performed within twenty four (24) hours of a request by the District for such information. The District may request copies of these security/background checks up to twelve (12) months after completion of the specific project (site work). Failure to complete or submit any required security/background check requested by the District. may result in immediate cancellation of work in process and/or removal from the active vendor and Offerers list for up to one year.

c) The Contractor, Its laborers and employees shall not fraternize or otherwise communicate with the students except in cases of safety and like necessities.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate I, Donation Services is typically the first point of contact for customers that are dropping off items at retail centers and/or stand-alone donation centers (ADC). The Donation Services Associates will provide excellent and friendly customer service by greeting customers&rsquo; timely and helping as needed that may include lifting or unloading donations from a customer&rsquo;s vehicle or other area. Associates are expected to handle goods with care, showing respect for items donated.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul>
<li>Provides excellent customer service, greeting customers in a timely manner, answering product questions as needed.</li>
<li>Assists every customer by unloading donations from vehicle or other areas.</li>
<li>Ensure that donated items are handled with care and sorted into appropriate bins or production areas.</li>
<li>Inspect all donations within assigned areas and make decisions on quality to sort appropriately for the sales floor or to be shipped to other locations.</li>
<li>Ensures a safe, organized, and clean environment is maintained for both customers and fellow employees within the donations entrance and parking lot areas.</li>
<li>Maintain remote donation centers, sheds, and/or trailer if applicable, following appropriate opening and closing procedures when working at a remote site.</li>
<li>Ensure supplies are kept well stocked at remote site as necessary.</li>
<li>Tracks and reports on donation levels daily to ensure trailers do not become over stocked when working in remote donation center locations.</li>
<li>Timely communication when donation warehouse and/or trailer(s) are becoming full and a truck is needed.</li>
<li>Follows all retail center/donation center policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist drivers in loading and unloading donations onto the truck when necessary.</li>
<li>Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.</li>
<li>Crosstrain in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.</li>
<li>May be required to report to the store ADC or stand-alone center when necessary.</li>

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner and responding timely and professionally to customer inquiries. JOB SUMMARY:
