GMC has an opening for a Designer to support on-going projects in our Mobile, AL office. The Designer will be involved in all stages of design and construction and will assist project managers in producing documents and managing the projects. Applicant should be well organized and able to work within a design system, demonstrate ability to solve problems, a good communicator willing and able to network with outside consultants and AHJs to assist in driving the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Performs Advanced knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD</li><li>
Proficiency in Adobe Products/Bluebeam</li><li>
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is a plus</li><li>
Experience with architecture, engineering or construction drawings</li><li>
Ability to think in a 3D environment</li><li>
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel required</li><li>
Ability to effectively meet and accommodate deadlines on multiple projects</li><li>
Ability to document as-built conditions in existing structures.</li><li>
Ability to work in a team environment</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing</li></ul>
 QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Minimum of 5+ years of technical and construction document production experience &ndash; retail experience preferred</li><li>
Understanding of building codes, construction methods, building systems, and engineering systems</li><li>
Working knowledge and practice skills of architectural product systems</li><li>
Working knowledge of A&amp;E work standards, processes, and policies</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, to manage deadlines and prioritize assignments</li><li>
Understanding of the tasks associated with the preparation of construction documents</li></ul>

Our Architecture and Interiors Team is actively seeking an Interior Designer II in our Columbia, SC office working directly with our Columbia architecture and interiors team. Interior Designer II

GMC has an opening for Interior Designer Associate to support on-going projects in Greenville, SC. This position is responsible for providing interior design services supporting commercial architectural projects (Educational, Hospitality, Healthcare and Municipal facilities).
Essential functions and responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Attends client planning meetings; presents plans and information to customer for review and approvals.</li><li>
Schedule and assign tasks to other internal teams in a clear manner, process scopes of work or contracts in coordination with sales, and report on project statuses and budgets.</li><li>
Conducts field measurements.</li><li>
Inventories existing product and produces as built drawings/specifications.</li><li>
Develops and presents block and space plans and gains customer approvals.</li><li>
Develops plotting, printing, color boards, etc.</li><li>
Develops construction documents and specifications on finishes and furniture.</li><li>
Review design and content changes to ensure they meet GMC standards.</li><li>
Document control, contract scope review and maintaining records of the project for both current and future use</li><li>
Overseeing installing the design elements and furniture</li><li>
Assists with punch list review with project managers.</li><li>
Assists in the writing and presentation of design proposals and contracts.</li><li>

Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>

Interior Designer Associate

GMC has an opening for Design Associate to support on-going projects in the Mobile, AL office. The Design Associate provides support to the lead architect in the design, selection, coordination, and detailing of architectural materials and systems.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice area</li><li>
Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks</li><li>
Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work</li><li>
Acquires and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities</li><li>
Performs basic design tasks</li><li>
Perform code and product research</li><li>
Visits sites to prepare as-built drawings of existing buildings</li><li>
Prepares construction document drawings in CAD or Revit</li><li>
Assists on other tasks such as preparation of permit applications and project manuals</li><li>
Collects data and gathers information, performs standard computation and analysis</li><li>
Coordinates with engineering consultants on assigned projects</li><li>

Occasional site visits to projects during the construction phase to monitor construction progress</li><li>

Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>

Previous architectural internship experience preferred</li><li>
Must be able to perform work-related travel and have a valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
