QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Associate degree in office assistant/medical assistant preferred</li>
<li>Proficient in use of computer Windows based programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling programs</li>
<li>Ability to address patient concerns/questions in a positive proactive manner</li>
<li>Ability to handle multiple tasks in a professional, organized, and friendly manner</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Career Readiness Certificate</li>
</ul>
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Answer phones; take messages and route to appropriate personnel</li>
<li>Unlock front door and receptionist window at required times</li>
<li>Greet patients, verify insurance information and collect any fees due before patient is seen by a provider</li>
<li>Check patient in and out on computer system. This includes verification of insurance and demographic information</li>
<li>Process office visit charges and patient payment transactions in a timely manner according to GMC policy</li>
<li>Complete End-Of-Day reports and reconcile patient accounts with Site leader</li>
<li>Prepare for next day's appointments. This includes reviewing schedule for accuracy and confirming insurance status. Ensure all forms, records, etc pertinent to the office visit are available</li>
<li>Manage new patient requests. Set-up new patient packets and charts</li>
<li>Maintain computer chart accuracy the information as soon as possible.</li>
<li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and the office supply cabinet</li>
