<div><p><b>The Role</b></p><p>
GovExec is seeking a Vice President, Financial Planning &amp; Analysis. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be the head of the FP&amp;A function for GovExec. In this role you develop and track KPIs by department and product, ad hoc analysis for department heads, and support the CFO on merger &amp; acquisition (M&amp;A) execution and integration. A key focus will be utilizing operating data from Hubspot, Asana, etc to create more data-driven forecasts, including identifying and addressing gaps in our current forecasting tools.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities</b></p><div><div><ul><li>
Lead the financial planning &amp; analysis activities for GovExec, including the creation of annual budgets, reforecasts, monthly and quarterly reporting of financial results for management and investors, management with department heads of budget by department, and ownership of multi-year financial model.</li><li>
Serve as the CFO&rsquo;s right hand and a strategic thought partner to senior management, informing company strategy and evaluating business decisions through case and scenario analysis</li><li>
In addition to running the FP&amp;A function, this role will be the primary FP&amp;A partner to the Intelligence (Data and Research) business unit</li><li>
Generate, maintain, and automate financial and operational reporting for various internal stakeholders</li><li>
Partner with the CFO to ensure all operating and financial metrics are properly defined, monitored, and met. Monitor product-level and market-level KPIs/metrics and help department heads develop ways to track these metrics and use them to optimize GovExec performance.</li><li>
Own, maintain, and refine the Company&rsquo;s multi-year financial models, including ARR/MRR models and unit economics to support short and long term business planning</li><li>
Partner with the Accounting team on monthly close process, financial reporting, and preparation of GAAP financial statements. Work with the CFO and Accounting to define and implement best practices for financial management and reporting across the Company.</li><li>
Be actively involved with M&amp;A activities, including detailed financial modeling and managing integration activities</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Manage an onshore/offshore FP&amp;A team of 3-4, setting high standards for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Automate and generate financial reporting, translating complex data into clear narrative and presentations that proactively address leadership and board questions</li><li>
Identify gaps in data quality or workflows and implement solutions</li></ul></div></div><p><b>
Qualifications</b></p><div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, preferably with a focus on finance, accounting, economics, or with relevant coursework in these disciplines</li><li>
10-12 years professional experience in the FP&amp;A function</li><li>
Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles</li><li>
Superb organizational skills and experience leading projects</li><li>
Robust financial and operational modeling experience with advanced excel skills and a strong understanding of modeling best practices (e.g., dynamic models with case functionality, user-friendly models with clear labeling of assumptions/data sources)</li><li>
Experience developing reporting packages (Excel and PPT), preferably at a growth-stage or middle market company</li><li>
History of successfully leading business case analysis and planning processes which set strategy through a financial lens, then tracking the plan to report on its progress over time</li><li>
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)</li></ul></div><p><b>

Experience optimizing financial/operational software</li><li>
Experience leading (or serving as a #2) the FP&amp;A function</li><li>
Experience dealing with debt &amp; equity financing processes</li><li>

Knowledge of and/or experience working in digital media</li><li>
Strong experience supporting subscription-based or recurring revenue businesses</li><li>
Experience with Workday Adaptive, NetSuite, Tableau, or similar tools preferred</li><li>

Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis

GovExec is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and service-minded Senior Multimedia Producer, based in the Washington, D.C. area, to join the growing GovExec TV team. In this role, you will be a critical player in producing content and effectively translating your vision to clients, coworkers, and freelancers. As the Senior Multimedia Producer, you will have strong writing, video editing, and research skills. It is also a plus if you have experience working or writing for the government sector.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Own end-to-end production for assigned projects from concept through delivery</li><li>
Serve as the primary point of contact for video and audio production projects</li><li>
Manage and coordinate freelance videographers, editors, and production partners as needed</li><li>
Travel to support on-site video production, including 2&ndash;3 trips per month outside of DC and frequent local travel within the DMV area</li><li>
Script and produce long- and short-form video content across platforms</li><li>
Manage on-site and studio production, including multi-camera setups, at live events and on-location shoots</li><li>
Oversee post-production workflows (editing, encoding, asset management)</li><li>
Maintain digital assets and production systems</li><li>

Creative, innovative, and experimental with high editorial standards</li><li>
Ability to write and edit across various content areas, including technology, finance, health, defense, and more</li><li>
Comfortable with non-linear editing</li><li>
Ability to lift and carry production equipment as needed</li><li>
Comfort working in fast-paced, on-site environments and handling production logistics</li><li>
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)</li><li>
