If you're passionate about public service, innovation, and education, there's never been a more dynamic time to join our mission.Graduate School USA (GSUSA) is seeking experienced instructors to deliver live virtual courses, with the option for in-person teaching, in Federal Digital IT Acquisition (DITAP/FAC-C-DS). We are looking for subject matter experts who are passionate about public service, innovation, and adult learning.Key Responsibilities Instruction &amp; Facilitation<ul><li>Deliver live virtual and/or in-person instruction aligned with DITAP and FAC-C-DS competencies.</li><li>Teach modules covering:</li><li>Digital services in 21st-century government</li><li>Market intelligence and stakeholder analysis</li><li>Flexible acquisition strategies under FAR 13.500(c)</li><li>Awarding and administering digital service contracts</li><li>Leading change and innovation in federal procurement</li><li>Provide practical guidance on federal acquisition regulations (FAR).</li><li>Mentor and coach acquisition professionals through cohort-based and individualized support.</li></ul>Curriculum Development<ul><li>Design and update course materials, lesson plans, job aids, and digital learning tools.</li><li>Collaborate with agency partners and internal teams to tailor content to mission needs.</li><li>Incorporate learner feedback and evolving requirements into continuous curriculum improvement.</li></ul>Engagement &amp; Student Support<ul><li>Facilitate interactive, inclusive learning environments using diverse instructional methods.</li><li>Respond promptly and professionally to student inquiries.</li><li>Ensure all instruction meets GSUSA quality standards and policies.</li></ul>Professional Growth &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Participate in professional development to maintain subject expertise and teaching effectiveness.</li><li>Support instructional delivery with comprehensive educational resources.</li><li>Work closely with curriculum staff to recommend and implement course updates.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; ExperienceEducation<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; advanced degree preferred.</li><li>Relevant certifications (DITAP, FAC-C, FAC-COR, FAC-P/PM, CPLP, CGTP) strongly preferred.</li></ul>Professional Experience<ul><li>10+ years in federal contracting, procurement, IT acquisition, or related field.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in federal acquisition regulations, including FAR 13.500(c).</li><li>Experience teaching adult learners in both virtual and in-person settings.</li><li>Experience leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives within federal or public sector organizations.</li><li>Project management experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean), including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery.</li><li>Prior success teaching or mentoring adult learners in both virtual and in-person settings.</li></ul>Instructional Expertise<ul><li>Skilled in facilitating courses with engaging, student-centered approaches.</li><li>Strong classroom management and learner engagement strategies.</li><li>Comfortable teaching in virtual, hybrid, and traditional environments.</li></ul>Communication &amp; Professional Skills<ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.</li><li>Professionalism, punctuality, and commitment to academic excellence.</li></ul>Technology Proficiency<ul><li>Experienced with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Connect, and LMS platforms.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; comfortable with Slack and other collaborative tools.</li><li>Ability to manage digital tools and smart devices during live instruction.</li></ul>System Requirements for Virtual Teaching<ul><li>Windows 10+ or MacOS 10.9+</li><li>Dual or large monitors, HD webcam, quality mic/speakers</li><li>Reliable broadband internet connection</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Competitive hourly rates: $40&ndash;$60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.</li><li>Part-time instructors are eligible for:</li><li>Paid sick leave</li><li>Access to robust learning management systems</li><li>Individual development planning</li><li>Compensation decisions consider role, location, skills, experience, peer equity, and organizational needs.</li></ul>About Graduate School USAWith a legacy of over 120 years, Graduate School USA (GSUSA) is a premier provider of professional training and workforce development for federal agencies and public service professionals. Our Instructor roles fall under two designations based on skills/experience. Those selected for an Instructor I designation can expect a reasonable estimate of the current range to be $40.00 to $60.00 per hour. We take a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including but not limited to: job and level hired into, location, skill set; experience and training; peer compensation and other business and organizational needs. This range is subject to change.Pay is just one component of our total rewards package. Our part-time instructors are eligible for paid sick leave, a robust learning management system and individual development planning.
