This role provides an exciting opportunity to support students pursuing their bachelor&rsquo;s or master&rsquo;s degrees in education, including programs in early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, TESOL, and special education.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li><div>
Location Requirement: Must reside in or be within driving distance of Atlanta, GA.</div></li><li><div>
Site Observation Visits: There will be a total of 4 site visits with each student teacher candidate per semester.</div></li><li><div>
Professional Development: Offer valuable feedback on the Teacher Candidate&rsquo;s professional development and implementation of future educational plans.</div></li><li><div>
Foster Creativity and Responsibility: Encourage Teacher Candidates to take initiative, exercise creativity, and maintain a high level of responsibility throughout their student teaching experience.</div></li><li><div>
Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of Teacher Candidates' progress and performance.</div></li><li><div>
Evaluation Support: Provide insight into evaluation procedures and assist Teacher Candidates in understanding and navigating assessments.</div></li><li><div>
Build Relationships: Maintain a professional yet friendly rapport with both Teacher Candidates and Cooperating Teachers to create a positive and supportive learning environment.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Qualifications:</div><ul><li><div>
Master&rsquo;s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Education.</div></li><li><div>
A valid Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or Elementary State Certificate/Licensure.</div></li><li><div>
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a classroom teacher.</div></li><li><div>
A commitment to supporting GCU&rsquo;s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
