Grand Rapids Graphix is seeking a candidate for the position of Graphic Designer/Production Artist, working with and supporting an automatic screen print press and embroidery for apparel production. Pay is based on experience. Experience with direct to film heat transfer printing is a bonus.Applicant needs to be responsible, reliable, detail oriented and willing to work with others to get each job done on time and with the highest quality our customers expect, in a fun and results-oriented work environment.Compensation is $15-20 per hour depending on work consistency and experience.Normal business hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. Qualified candidates will be called back by telephone, please make sure to provide a current phone number.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and adjust artwork for screen printing, embroidery, and promotional product decoration.</li><li>Create color separations, mockups, and production proofs.</li><li>Ensure all files meet technical specs for size, placement, resolution, and color accuracy.</li><li>Collaborate with sales reps, customers, and the production team to clarify design details and approvals.</li><li>Maintain organized digital files and templates for efficiency and consistency.</li><li>Assist in developing creative design solutions when customers need artwork support.</li><li>Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop required).</li><li>Understanding of screen printing/embroidery artwork requirements (color separations, vector art, PMS matching, etc.).</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues before production.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a deadline-driven environment.</li><li>Previous experience in a print shop or apparel decoration environment preferred, but not required.</li><li>Bonus if you have experience or knowledge on DTF direct to film heat transfer production.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
