Accounting Assistant (Data Entry)Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with accurate data entry and day-to-day accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering financial information into accounting systems, maintaining accurate records, processing invoices, and assisting with basic bookkeeping functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work efficiently with numbers and deadlines.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Enter and update financial transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets</li><li>Process accounts payable and accounts receivable data accurately</li><li>Review invoices, receipts, and other financial documents for completeness and accuracy</li><li>Maintain organized digital and physical accounting records</li><li>Assist with bank reconciliations and account matching</li><li>Prepare and file routine financial documents and reports</li><li>Verify data and correct discrepancies in a timely manner</li><li>Support month-end and year-end closing activities</li><li>Respond to internal requests for accounting information and documentation</li><li>Perform general administrative duties related to the accounting department</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred</li><li>Previous experience in data entry, bookkeeping, accounting support, or administrative work preferred</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software</li><li>Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Good organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Basic understanding of accounting principles</li><li>Experience processing invoices and maintaining financial records</li><li>Fast and accurate typing/data entry skills</li></ul>Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
