<div>Job Summary 
 
The Health Information Management (HIM) Technician is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of patient health records to support coding, reimbursement, physician chart completion, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a critical role in chart deficiency management, unbilled management, mandated registry reporting, and electronic health record (EHR) maintenance. The HIM Technician also assists providers with medical record deficiencies, oversees suspension processes, and maintains delinquency statistics in accordance with state regulations, hospital policies, HIM procedures, and Joint Commission (JC) standards. 
 
Essential Functions<ul><li>
Manages chart deficiency workflows, including notifying and assisting providers with incomplete medical records, monitoring deficiencies, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.</li>
<li>Processes unbilled accounts, supporting timely coding, reimbursement, and revenue cycle operations.</li>
<li>Ensures accurate filing and maintenance of health records, filing documents in the electronic health record (EHR) system in a timely and organized manner.</li>
<li>Oversees the suspension process for delinquent records, ensuring compliance with hospital medical staff rules, HIM policies, and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Monitors and maintains delinquency statistics, generating reports and escalating concerns as needed to HIM leadership.</li>
<li>Performs mandated registry reporting, such as tumor registry and Master Patient Index (EMPI) reconciliation, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Processes and maintains medical records across multiple health information systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and security.</li>
<li>Assists HIM leadership with operational reports, audits, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance documentation workflows.</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission (JC), and facility policies, maintaining the confidentiality and security of patient health information.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li>

Qualifications<ul><li>
0-1 years of experience in health information management, medical records, or healthcare clerical support required
</li><li>Experience in document scanning, indexing, or electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<ul><li>
Strong understanding of medical record workflows, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance.</li>
<li>Knowledge of chart deficiency processes, provider suspension workflows, and unbilled management procedures.</li>
<li>Proficiency in EHR systems, document management, and health information technology platforms.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and accurate documentation.</li>
<li>Effective communication and collaboration with providers, HIM leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.</li>
<li>Ability to analyze, generate, and interpret HIM reports, including deficiency tracking and unbilled account monitoring.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.</li></ul>
Licenses and Certifications<ul><li>
RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician preferred or

<div>Job Summary 
 
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated tasks in alignment with the PCT's training and the department's needs. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (LVN at Texas facilities), the PCT supports patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe and organized care environment, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team. 
 
Essential Functions<ul><li>
Assists nursing staff in delivering care, performing delegated basic patient care services, and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized environment.</li>
<li>Collects and records patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, oxygen saturation, intake/output, and calorie counts, reporting findings to the RN/LPN/LVN.</li>
<li>Supports patients with meals, feeding, bathing, oral care, grooming, linen changes, skin care, elimination assistance, and urinary catheter care.</li>
<li>Assists with patient positioning, repositioning, dangling, ambulating, and using mobility aids such as walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.</li>
<li>Collects urine and stool samples and performs blood glucose monitoring via finger sticks, documenting and reporting results to the RN/LPN/LVN.</li>
<li>Communicates patient information effectively to the care team, adapts to change, and maintains professionalism in all interactions.</li>
<li>Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>
<li>Participates in performance improvement initiatives, risk management reporting, and compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and Core Measures.</li>
<li>May be required to maintain continuous visual observation of the patient and remains with them at all times unless relieved by appropriate personnel.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

Qualifications<ul><li>
0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<ul><li>
Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li>

Licenses and Certifications<ul><li>
BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
