Established in 1991, GSA has built a reputation for excellence and innovation in the industry, providing comprehensive services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.Position Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated CAD Designer &ndash; Survey &amp; Site Development to join our team. This role will focus on preparing and updating survey plats, topographic maps, site development plans, and related civil drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying and civil site development, with the ability to produce accurate and professional CAD deliverables for residential, commercial, and municipal projects.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Draft boundary, topographic, ALTA, and tree surveys from field data and legal documents</li><li>Prepare site development and grading plans in Civil 3D</li><li>Process field crew data and work closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure accuracy</li><li>Create and manage surfaces, alignments, profiles, and corridors in Civil 3D</li><li>Update existing drawings and perform revisions as required by project managers or reviewers</li><li>Coordinate with project teams to meet deadlines and technical standards</li><li>Maintain organized and clean CAD files consistent with company standards</li><li>Assist with plat preparation, construction staking plans, and utility layouts when needed</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>2+ years of experience in CAD drafting for land surveying and/or site development</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)</li><li>Understanding of land surveying terminology and methods</li><li>Familiarity with legal descriptions, easements, and zoning overlays</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret survey field notes, deeds, and plats</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Experience with ALTA/NSPS survey preparation</li><li>Knowledge of local Georgia jurisdictional standards (if applicable)</li><li>Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, surveying, or related field</li></ul>If you are passionate about design and eager to contribute to exciting projects in land surveying and planning, we invite you to apply today at Grant Shepherd &amp; Associates, Inc.
