About the Financial Reporting Advisory Service</b></p>
<p>
Where precision meets passion! Our GT UAE FRAS team provides essential advisory services in financial accounting, focusing on complex reporting standards, transaction support, and optimizing financial controls. Joining our team means being part of a dynamic group that empowers companies to achieve transparency, compliance, and excellence in financial reporting. The FRAS team sits within our Assurance service line and works closely with a range of clients across different industry sectors.</p>
<p><b>
As a Senior Associate some of your responsibilities will include:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Supporting senior colleagues on financial accounting engagements</li>
<li>Leading in preparing work papers and drafts for financial accounting engagements</li>
<li>Leading in audit plans with a focus on identifying and addressing key financial reporting risks</li>
<li>Leading in preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (eg., IFRS, US GAAP)</li>
<li>Staying updated on new accounting standard and advising clients on the implications for their financial reporting</li>
<li>Supporting accounting for new standards, entity restructuring, and conversions</li>
<li>Providing hands-on client support that exceeds client expectations</li>

Senior Associate - Financial Reporting Advisory Services

</b></p><p><b>Audit Associate
</b></p><p>As an Audit Associate at Grant Thornton, your primary responsibility will be performing audit procedures in the areas of cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payrolls, and expense analysis. You will work alongside Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives as a member of the engagement team.
</p><p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
</b></p><ul><li>Audit transaction cycles, including cash, purchasing, investments, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
</li><li>Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements
</li><li>Research and analyze financial statements and audit and tax related issues utilizing electronic databases, and employ audit software to review and compile financial information to resolve client issues discovered during the audit.
</li><li>Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform audit services.
</li><li>Participate in recruiting efforts as needed.
</li><li>Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.
</li><li>Other duties as assigned.
</li></ul><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS
</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Accounting
</li><li>Minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred
</li><li>Completion of necessary education hours to eligible for CPA licensure, if required in the state where the position will be located
</li><li>The willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites
</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
</li><li>Strong technical aptitude and skillset
</li><li>Demonstrated project management skillset including project planning and time management
</li><li>Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment
</li><li>Ability to travel on short notice.
