Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AP/AR Clerk to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. Your expertise will support our commitment to maintaining strong financial health, compliance with accounting standards, and seamless data entry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in corporate accounting, financial software, and compliance procedures while contributing to the overall success of our organization.Responsibilities<ul><li>Process and verify accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval in accordance with company policies and SOX compliance standards.</li><li>Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and customer account analysis to optimize cash flow.</li><li>Perform account reconciliations for the general ledger, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all transactions through meticulous data entry and double-entry bookkeeping practices.</li><li>Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries and conducting account analysis aligned with GAAP and governmental accounting standards.</li><li>Support payroll management tasks using systems like ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro while ensuring proper integration with financial data.</li><li>Conduct regular audits of accounts payable and receivable to ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and external regulations.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable functions within a corporate or governmental setting.</li><li>Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits &amp; credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar platforms; familiarity with Workday or Ceridian is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of payroll management systems like ADP or UltiPro; experience with Kronos is advantageous.</li><li>Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX compliance standards, and governmental accounting practices.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail with strong math skills and the ability to perform account analysis accurately.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy levels.
