Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our busy surgery practice . In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, verifying insurance information, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing exceptional administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and billing procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.(eClinical Works Experience a PLUS!!) This position requires you to travel to both offices Novi and Southfield.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism and courtesy</li><li>Schedule appointments using medical office management software such as ECW and Epic</li><li>Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle collections related to medical billing and CPT coding</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in EMR systems like eClinicalWorks</li><li>Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including ICD-9/10 coding and care plan documentation</li><li>Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette</li><li>Assist with insurance verification, intake procedures, and patient inquiries regarding billing or appointments</li><li>Support front desk operations by managing filing, faxing, copying, and general clerical tasks</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information at all times</li><li>Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and patient flow</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a healthcare administrative role is required</li><li>Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks,</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical billing processes including ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines</li><li>Experience with insurance verification and processing claims is highly preferred</li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinic environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills</li></ul>Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients&rsquo; lives!
