Great Plains Media is seeking a highly organized and creative part-time Office Assistant and Web Designer to join our dynamic and fun team. If you have a passion for media, a knack for building relationships, and a proven experience in Web/Graphic Design! This role offers the exciting opportunity to build experience in local media and your web design portfolio.Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable Office Assistant and Web Designer to provide high-level administrative support to our executive team while simultaneously overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our company website. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of administrative and technical skills, with a creative flair for web design and a commitment to providing exceptional support.About the Role:As an Office Assistant and Web Designer, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager and full-time staff with projects, re-vamping the official webpage for the stations, and designing fliers and promotional material for the stations. We are looking for somebody who can work 10 am - 2 pm Monday-Friday 15-20 hours per week.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide administrative support to the General Manager and sales team, including calendar management and meeting scheduling.</li><li>Design and maintain the company&rsquo;s website, ensuring a user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional online presence.</li><li>Participate in promotions, including designing digital and print content for our clients.</li><li>Assist with daily office operations, such as correspondence, and assisting clients and listeners who visit the stations.</li><li>Optimize website performance and ensure it is fully responsive across devices.</li><li>Implement SEO best practices to improve site visibility and user engagement.</li><li>Manage and prioritize tasks and projects to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with content management systems (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.).</li><li>Proficiency in web design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.</li><li>Detail-oriented with a passion for creating visually appealing and functional web and print designs.</li><li>Preferred experience as an Assistant or in a similar administrative support role.</li></ul>To Apply:Please submit your resume and cover letter.Great Plains Media is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hourWork Location: In person
