</p><p><b>Position Summary</b>: The purpose of this job is to conduct profitability and loss trends analyses, perform ISO rate impact analyses, conduct competitor analyses and support statewide rate filings to ensure pricing adequacy and business profitability using actuarial methodologies. This role also assists in integrating pricing tools and actuarial analyses by utilizing AI and visualization tools.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></h3><ul><li>
Perform ratemaking process for state rate filings by using AI and advanced programming skills for commercial lines of business, including Commercial Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto.</li><li>
Perform industry and company profitability analyses as well as loss trends analyses.</li><li>
Perform ISO circular rate impact analysis for various states.</li><li>
Assist in integrating actuarial results by using AI and data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) to facilitate communications with senior management and underwriters.</li><li>
Conduct competitor analyses through research of relevant competitor filings by using AI and update rating factors in the SQL Server.</li><li>
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as requested.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Education and Experience:</b></h3><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field required. Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred.</li><li>
Minimum 2 years of professional experience specialized in the actuarial field required.</li><li>
Minimum 3 passed actuarial exams required and working toward completion of ACAS or FCAS.</li><li>
Proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel VBA required.</li><li>
Working knowledge of AI applications and PowerBI preferred.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Skills:</b></h3><ul><li>
Excellent problem-solving and programming skills.</li><li>
Strong ability to quickly learn new programming languages and AI applications.</li><li>
Strong ability to perform work efficiently and accurately.</li><li>
Ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely, both verbal and in writing.</li><li>

Other Requirements:</b></h3><ul><li>
Strong initiative to complete CAS Fellowship or Associateship.</li></ul><p>
The salary range for this role is $69,100 - $124,400. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY&rsquo;s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.</p></div>
