 Grecian Delight | Kronos Food is seeking an experienced 1st shift Sr Production Manager for our Elk Grove Village facility. As our Production Manager you will direct and coordinate overall operations for our production departments, ensuring objectives are achieved and quality standards are met. You will facilitate maximization of organizational and capital resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals. You will also effectively develop teams and develop a culture of respect throughout the operation.
 What you are going to be doing…
 <ul>
<li>Direct, coordinate, and facilitate daily activities of direct reports to ensure achievement of production goals and customer expectations in a safe, timely, cost-efficient manner.</li>
<li>Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology and design is used to maximize production.</li>
<li>Assist in development of plant/department budget, monitor plant spending and reports on operating costs within functional areas.</li>
<li>Remain apprised of and keep management informed of cost and labor overrun, make recommendations, and implement solutions to related issues.</li>
<li>Work closely with plant functional managers to develop and maintain positive employee relations environment.</li>
<li>Evaluate functional activities to verify they are performed at the appropriate levels of the organization and that resources are in place to build capability where potential skill gaps have been identified.</li>
<li>Assist in the development of short and long-term goals; works with sales and business development staff to meet established growth initiatives through effective planning.</li>
<li>Assure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.</li>

What you need to have…
 <ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience in food manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>5 years’ experience in a Meat processing food manufacturing environment with demonstrated department management experience (coaching, people leadership);</li>
<li>Strong leadership skills: demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop others</li>
<li>Knowledgeable in applicable regulatory compliance (OSHA, USDA, FDA, etc.)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s, HAACP, OSHA and other quality and safety programs in food processing environments.</li>
<li>Experience with USDA is required.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and communicate clear instructions, procedures, and processes.</li>
<li>Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.</li>

 Grecian Delight | Kronos Food is seeking an experienced Food Scientist for our Elk Grove Village location. As our Food Scientist you will be responsible for leading meat product development (beef, pork, poultry), plant-based protein, and hummus/dips/spreads product development; develop new formulas, processing procedures and specifications for new products, product enhancements and cost reductions.
 What you are going to be doing…
 <ul>
<li>Lead multiple development projects with an emphasis on meat protein, plant-based protein and sauces, both new products and improvements of current products.</li>
<li>Assume technical leadership of assigned projects from concept development through successful commercialization. Recommend new product concepts to take to development.</li>
<li>Investigate product and process challenges, provide creative solutions, and solve challenges in development and commercialization.</li>
<li>Work cross functionally (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Purchasing) to determine equipment, materials and processes necessary to produce products to maximize capacity and optimize quality and differentiation.</li>
<li>Identify and complete technical study of ingredients, suppliers, co-packers relevant to meeting project objectives and company standards.</li>
<li>Assure technically sound sensory panels are conducted for product development, shelf-life studies, improving/maintaining present products and competitive testing.</li>
<li>Identify and make recommendations for process improvements using scientific techniques, design experimentation to improve formulation, process, or equipment to deliver finished products that meet defined internal and external customer parameters.</li>
<li>Familiarize and evaluate competitive products in the marketplace to determine market opportunities for new products and application recommendations for current products.</li>
<li>Provide raw material information and formulas to regulatory personnel to create nutritional and products analysis, and nutritional fact panels.</li>

What you need to have…

<li>BS or MS degree in Food Science or related area with at least 3-5 years of product development experience in food manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Previous USDA meat protein product development experience.</li>
<li>Experience working with Esha Genesis or equivalent nutritional program is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience in food manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>In-depth experience in ingredients, flavors, and their functionalities.</li>
<li>Experience in vendor/supplier contact for ingredients selection desirable</li>
<li>Strong technical knowledge.</li>

Grecian Delight | Kronos Food is seeking a Production Scheduler for 9 key manufacturing areas of the business, responsible for ensuring the amount of product is manufactured in the proper time frame to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction.
 
What you are going to be doing…
 <ul>
<li>Create, schedule, and maintain manufacturing and WIP components across production rooms</li>
<li>Publish and support production schedule to all relevant stakeholders</li>
<li>Create Purchase Orders finished goods produced with our suppliers to meet the schedule requirements</li>
<li>Create all shop orders for the schedule, distribute via IFS (Food ERP System), and evaluate efficiency and completion postproduction</li>
<li>Monitor daily inventories, adjust orders, and maintain all spreadsheets with relevant changes</li>
<li>Monitor inventories daily vs. scheduled orders and forecast to prevent customer shortages and MTO IFS alerts</li>
<li>Notify Customer Care and all related groups of any shortages and manage best path forward for emergency schedule changes</li>
<li>Interact with QA and Procurement on inbound standards/supply to ensure supplier compliance</li>
</ul>
What you need to have…

<li>Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or related degree preferred</li>
<li>2 + years of experience in a food manufacturing environment and at least 2 years of experience in a scheduling role</li>
<li>Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, S&OP, ERP mandatory; preferably IFS and ability to adapt to new technologies quickly with minimal guidance</li>
