 Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs specific tasks including organization of the stockroom area, maintenance parts ordering and stocking processes, and other duties to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality within the job.
 
What You'll Do: 
<ul>
<li>Organization of stockroom including all parts storage and documentation information.</li>
<li>Interaction with maintenance and purchasing personnel involved in maintenance stock ordering and inventories.</li>
<li>Performing regular inventories of stock as directed by procedure and supervision and ensuring security of stockroom.</li>
<li>Pick up specific orders with company vehicles as needed.</li>
<li>Performing trips to and from outside contractor’s locations during maintenance procedures as needed.</li>
<li>General assistance to maintenance personnel as needed within maximum level of knowledge and training.</li>
<li>Approval and assurance of quality and quantity of incoming materials.</li>
<li>Perform tasks on the computer system as job requires</li>
<li>Perform all directed written or verbal procedures as directed by supervision or job requirements to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality at all times.</li>

What We Need From You: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum of completion of the tenth (10) grade, high school.</li>
<li>Must possess the ability to follow written and verbal directions.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to move freely from one area to another within the department, conform to physical requirements of the job, including the ability to lift fifty pounds periodically, stand, walk, and bend.</li>
<li>Must be trained in hazard recognition, PPE requirement and use lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, and any other safety requirements for employment at Grede – Browntown.</li>

 As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in our operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. The position involves troubleshooting equipment issues, isolating problems, and performing effective repairs to keep production running safely and efficiently.

<li>Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics</li>

<li>Coordinate and perform machine repairs while mentoring maintenance staff in troubleshooting techniques</li>
<li>Develop and update preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and component replacement plans</li>
<li>Audit repairs and allocate resources effectively to minimize downtime</li>
<li>Research improved components and reliable vendors to enhance equipment performance</li>
<li>Complete accurate documentation, including work orders, PMIs, and inspection logs</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement by contributing to housekeeping, area improvements, and team initiatives</li>

The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs various maintenance tasks to ensure preventative/proactive maintenance and timely repair per written and verbal procedures in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.
 
What You'll Do:

<li>During regular production periods, determine the need for and perform repair and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and controls, ensuring minimal delay or downtime.</li>
<li>Engages in numerous preventative maintenance procedures specifically pertaining to overall machinery operations controlled by electrical components.</li>
<li>Denotes the skills that must be verified by a certificate of completion in continued education.</li>
<li>Demonstrates compliance with safety and environmental procedures.</li>
<li>Specialized skills or technical training may be substituted to fulfill part of this requirement at the discretion of maintenance management.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate a dedication to excellence, example, and the absence of crisis through preventative maintenance.</li>
