Greenleaf Landscaping, Inc has an opening for an experienced Irrigation Tech to join their team!Irrigation Technicians maintain the irrigation equipment assigned to them or in a specific area. This equipment can include sprinklers, water lines, pumps, suction devices, valves and other plumbing equipment in commercial and residential properties. Currently work is scheduled in maintenance, but there is room for growth to include future irrigation installs.Our shifts are Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm, with opportunities for overtime during peak turn on and blow out windows. After blow outs occur, our Irrigation Techs will move over to helping with fall clean ups, and over the winter we do on-call snow removal, providing a $2.00/hr pay differential.Irrigation Repair Technician Duties:<ul><li>Repair irrigation system defects</li><li>Assist superintendent in maintaining parts inventory</li><li>Make all irrigation orders with approval.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and curative maintenance on pump stations</li><li>Operate main pumps and pump controllers</li><li>Maintain daily record of activities and expenses</li><li>Check irrigation systems for leaks, lakes and dry areas</li><li>Inventory irrigation parts and supplies</li><li>Operate and maintain light utility vehicles and powered equipment</li><li>Record changes in irrigation system component routings or locations on the working copy of the system as-built drawings</li><li>Ensure company procedures are being followed in the field</li><li>Completing daily paperwork (timesheets, DOT sheets)</li><li>Completing startup sprinklers in the spring</li><li>Completing blow out sprinkler maintenance in the fall</li><li>Reviewing &ldquo;day before call ahead&rdquo; and next day schedule</li><li>Off season work available in landscape cleanups, snow plowing, etc.</li></ul>Position Requirements:<ul><li>Must be 18 years of age</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License with a good driving record</li><li>2 or more years experience working in landscaping with at least 1 year in irrigation maintenance</li><li>Knowledge of irrigation systems/components, and maintenance of existing systems</li><li>Ability to kneel, stand and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. daily</li><li>Excellent customer service skills</li></ul>Starting wage range is $21.00-$25.00/hr DOE. We are hiring a Horticulture Assistant to start with us soon!Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepares the garden and ensures surroundings are well maintained, that the plants and collections are healthy, and that the garden is safe and attractive for the public</li><li>Performs and supports horticultural practices that encourage overall plant health and soil nutrition, to include sustainable gardening and integrated pest management practices</li><li>Maintains horticultural tools and equipment</li><li>Maintains records of work, garden maintenance, and plant health as required</li><li>Collaborates with the Horticultural team on all tasks required for maintaining the highest standards of landscape management and horticultural operations</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li><li>Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record (1 ticket in last year OK)</li><li>Must be able to work shifts of 7am-3:30pm, M-F</li><li>Must be able to provide good customer service when needed</li><li>Must be able to lift around 40lbs on occasion with frequent bending and stooping</li><li>Must be willing to rake out beds, pull weeds and maintain a visually pleasant and healthy flower bed</li><li>Must have previous experience in caring for outdoor plants and be able to identify different varieties, while taking the initiative to learn about care and working with others to address concerns</li></ul>The starting pay is dependent on experience and education as related to the job.We value growth, and these roles will also have the potential to take on leadership and mentorship duties.
