About You

We&rsquo;re looking for someone who has:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design/Architecture from an accredited university.</li>
<li>Professional licensure (NCIDQ) is required.</li>
<li>Minimum of 10 years of job-related design experience required.</li>
<li>Previous experience in Work Place/ commercial interior design, preferably within an architectural firm, is required.</li>
<li>Demonstrates advanced knowledge of building codes, Site analysis, preliminary design studies, and contract documents</li>
<li>Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Lumion, and other modeling software such as Grasshopper and Rhino.</li>

We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer with experience leading design teams for Life and Work Places projects, initially including a major end-user Headquarters project in the Southeast.

About the Role

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will:
<ul>
<li>Contributes to project visioning and design ideation by actively participating in design charettes, generating conceptual studies, plans, renderings, and refining ideas to meet client goals.</li>
<li>Assist in holistic design development and documentation from concept through construction administration, including programming, space planning, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams and building systems.</li>
<li>Demonstrate growing knowledge of project scope, budgets, deliverables, applicable codes, sustainable design principles, and project delivery methods while applying this knowledge appropriately with oversight.</li>
<li>Creates and communicates visual representations and presentations effectively to clients, consultants, and team members using timely written, oral, and visual methods.</li>
<li>Take ownership of assigned tasks by managing priorities, timelines, and meeting deliverable deadlines to maintain project schedules, while proactively communicating within the team.</li>
<li>Support technical development by collaborating on complex construction details, researching materials, analyzing product options, and reviewing work for accuracy and compliance with standards.</li>
<li>Strives for continuous learning and improvement, actively participates in design reviews, and contributes creative design solutions to enhance project success and align with firm goals.</li>
</ul>
Desired Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Preference for professional accreditation in LEED, WELL or ILFI Living Future Accreditation</li>
<li>Handling physical modeling tools such as 3D Printing and Laser cutting</li>
<li>Experience utilizing presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop</li>
</ul>

About the Role

Gresham Smith is seeking a Licensed Architect and Project Manager to join our Healthcare Studio. In this role, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional human experiences in healthcare settings. You should have strong technical skills, the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines, and strong communication and organization skills. Experience directly with Healthcare projects is a plus.

As a Project Manager, you will:
<ul>
<li>Lead a variety of different Healthcare projects at various scales.</li>
<li>Serve as the day-to-day client contact, cultivating lasting relationships through exceptional project delivery.</li>
<li>Partner with the Project Executive and firm leaders to establish scope, fees, budgets, schedules, and deliverables during proposals and contract negotiations.</li>
<li>Participate in client presentations and business development opportunities that strengthen Gresham Smith&rsquo;s presence in the healthcare market.</li>
<li>Direct consultant and technical teams to ensure the successful execution of project design and deliverables.</li>
<li>Lead coordination across disciplines, internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and execution.</li>
<li>Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and a collaborative, positive studio culture.</li>
<li>Work with the Studio Operations Leader on staffing strategies that balance workloads and support efficiency.</li>
<li>Lead the preparation of comprehensive sets of architectural drawings and construction documents, utilizing strong technical knowledge to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project specifications and codes.</li>
<li>Ensure that project progress aligns with both the client&rsquo;s vision and Gresham Smith&rsquo;s standards of design excellence.</li>
<li>Oversee project documentation, including agendas, minutes, reports, and action items, and ensure consistent follow-up.</li>
<li>Manage project financials, budgets, staffing, and schedules using Deltek VantagePoint, including forecasting, invoicing, and collections.</li>
<li>Identify, communicate, and mitigate risk in partnership with the Project Executive.</li>
</ul>
