Location: Remote, India
You will:<ul>
<li>
Own and perform advanced month-end close activities, including capitalization of internal used software, complex allocations, intercompany eliminations, and full-scope subsidiary reviews to ensure accurate and complete consolidated financials.</li>
<li>Prepare and post elimination and consolidation journal entries and perform intercompany reconciliation and reporting.</li>
<li>Conduct in-depth GL account analysis, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver variance/flux explanations for P&amp;L and balance sheet accounts.</li>
<li>Manage all aspects of the close cycle for assigned entities &mdash; including accrued compensation, accrued expenses, prepaids, leases, fixed assets, capitalizations, and intangibles etc.</li>
<li>Review and validate subsidiary books, ensuring alignment with US GAAP.</li>
<li>Support cash management activities such as bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and intercompany settlements.</li>
<li>Handle ad hoc requests related to financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.</li>
<li>Support audit and management reporting requirements with accurate and timely deliverables.</li>
<li>Assist management reporting, financial analysis, and inquiries, offering insights into trends and fluctuations.</li>
<li>Participate in cross-team training and coverage planning, ensuring adequate backup and knowledge sharing within the accounting team.</li>
<li>In exceptional situations, step in to assist other functions such as Billing or Accounts Payable when business needs arise.</li>
<li>Assist and support other non-month end ad hoc projects or requests.</li>
<li>Assist with supporting income tax, business tax filings, and business registration renewals, coordinating with external tax advisors and internal teams.</li>
<li>Partner closely with the U.S. accounting team and Controller to ensure smooth coordination across time zones, proactive communication, and alignment on close deliverables.</li>
<li>Adopt an AI and automation mindset: proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate recurring tasks, and enhance accuracy and scalability of accounting processes</li>
</ul>
You Have:<ul>
<li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Accounting</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication in English</li>
<li>6-8 years of experience in accounting for a US company</li>
<li>Deep understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting close</li>
<li>Proven ability to connect the dots across accounts and systems, identify issues, and implement solutions independently</li>
<li>High sense of ownership &mdash; accountable for the full financial book of assigned entities and responsible for related ad hoc or urgent requests</li>
<li>Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with large data sets</li>
<li>Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal English communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work independently under pressure while meeting tight deadlines</li>
<li>Comfortable working in PST hours and maintaining high collaboration with the U.S. accounting and finance teams</li>
