<div>About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners in Cheriton, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children. 
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Completion of a state-approved training program for early childhood education.</li><li>
Experience working with young children in a classroom setting</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff</li><li>
Enrollment in an associate/bachelor&rsquo;s degree program or enrolled in CDA credential or equivalent
</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field</li><li>
Pre-School Child Development Associate (CDA) or state equivalency</li><li>
Experience working with diverse populations of children and families</li><li>
Bilingual in English and Spanish.</li></ul>
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children in the classroom.</li><li>
Provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children.</li><li>
Maintain a clean and organized classroom that is conducive to learning.</li><li>
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns or questions they may have.</li><li>
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care by following all health and safety guidelines and protocols</li></ul>
