Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 12 units of early childhood education that include: child development, child, family, and community, and curriculum</li><li>Minimum 12 months experience working with children, ideally Toddler aged (2-3 years old)</li></ul>(A partially qualified Teacher must have at least 1 year of teaching experience, 6 units and be continually enrolled in ECE courses until successfully completing 12 units. A partially qualified teacher falls under the assistant in the wage scale until completing all 12 units.)ResponsibilitiesSchedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00PM to 6:00PM.<ul><li>Assist with supervising and carrying out an effective afternoon program for the class in accordance with the philosophy of the school and Montessori teachings.</li><li>Guide and support toddlers through daily routines</li><li>Gear the afternoon program to the needs of the individual children with concern for interests, challenges, talents, etc.</li><li>Collaborate with fellow teachers to support a consistent and caring approach</li><li>Maintain communication with parents - in person or email.</li><li>Treat each child and staff member with care and respect.</li><li>Be responsible for the d&eacute;cor, appearance, and learning environment of the classroom.</li><li>Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs, including in-service staff meetings.</li><li>Reports to the Director for supervision.</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>$22.36-30.00/hr based on experience and completed course work.</li><li>401K retirement benefit with 5% employer match.</li><li>Generous personal time off, holiday &amp; vacation package provided in addition to 5 weeks paid vacation over school holidays</li><li>Ongoing training opportunities in addition to pre-authorized education contributions.</li></ul>Who We AreJoin our vibrant and compassionate team!
