SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Financial Analyst to support the FP&amp;A team in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role will report directly to the FP&amp;A Manager and be coordinated by a senior FP&amp;A Analyst, offering a collaborative environment for growth and learning. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses.</li><li>
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.</li><li>
Maintain and improve Excel-based financial models and templates.</li><li>
Analyze cost drivers and departmental spending trends.</li><li>
Collaborate with other analysts to develop dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI preferred).</li><li>
Participate in financial reviews and provide insights to support decision-making.</li><li>
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial systems and reports.</li><li>
Help implement financial accountability practices and cost management initiatives.</li><li>
Assist in grant reporting reconciliation.</li><li>
Support departments in aligning grant-funded activities with financial policies.</li><li>
Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by the FP&amp;A Manager or senior analyst.</li></ul> 
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
In accordance with our mission statement, additional duties and / or tasks may be assigned to continue seamless service for the agency. 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an individual contributor role. There are no supervisory responsibilities. 
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.</li><li>
1&ndash;3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or FP&amp;A.</li></ul> 
SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES:<ul><li><div><ul><li>
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, charts, etc.).</li><li>
Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a strong plus.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li></ul></div></li></ul> 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Experience in public sector or transportation industry.</li><li>
Exposure to cost management by cost drivers.</li><li>
Understanding of financial accountability frameworks.</li><li>
Familiarity with grant funding and compliance requirements.</li></ul>
