The primary responsibilities are to adjudicate claims based on variable contract provisions and benefits according to state guidelines. The person in this position must understand policy contract language, insurance applications, medical terminology, and medical aspects.</div></div><p>
</p><p></p><div><div><b>What you should bring to the table:</b></div></div><ul><li><div><div>
2-3 years of medical health claim adjusting experience, preferably hospital indemnity claims</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Experience reading and referencing policy language for benefit administration</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Experience in preexisting or investigations a plus</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Strong data entry skills</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Excellent verbal and written communication</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Ability to analyze risk</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Must have good judgment and strong prioritizing and organizational skills</div></div></li><li><div><div>
Pay range for this role is $24-29 per hour, commensurate with experience</div></div></li></ul><p>

Assist with policy accounting reconciliations, reporting, and month-end processes to help ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.</div></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><div>
Accounting and Reporting</div></h2><ul><li><div>
Prepare, reconcile, and analyze commission-related accounting activity to support accurate financial reporting and timely month-end close processes.</div></li><li><div>
Research and resolve accounting variances by partnering with internal teams to validate data, investigate root causes, and support corrective actions.</div></li><li><div>
Maintain accurate commission and accounting records by reviewing transactions, supporting reconciliations, and ensuring documentation is complete and audit-ready.</div></li><li><div>
Support month-end and quarterly close activities by preparing reports, validating balances, and assisting with commission and general ledger-related analysis.</div></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><div>

Education and Skills:</b></div></div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.</div></li><li><div>
Experience in accounting operations, commissions administration, policy accounting, financial services, or a related business environment.</div></li><li><div>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research discrepancies, interpret data, and identify process improvements.</div></li><li><div>
High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</div></li><li><div>
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide excellent service to internal and external partners.</div></li><li><div>
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with business systems such as PeopleSoft, LifePro, or similar platforms is preferred.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly while supporting change, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.</div></li><li><div>
