Proudly made in the USA at our facility in Boise, Idaho, we serve clients across the Western United States and Canada, primarily in the hospitality and housing industries. With a strong focus on multi-family and multi-story apartments and hotels, our projects are custom-built to meet local codes, client specifications, and architectural design requirements.We&rsquo;re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual, who has an interest in contracts, and skills in technology. This role offers hands-on experience applying accounting concepts, learning the fundamentals of construction contracts, and helping implement a new contract management software system. It&rsquo;s a great opportunity to play a key role in the finance department and help build out the processes for Guerdon&rsquo;s contracts management system.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist with setting up escrow accounts and support coordination with escrow agents</li><li>Lead contract administration and document control processes</li><li>Lead the implementation of the Juro software system to automate the contract life cycle.</li><li>Prepare payment and deposit schedules based on project milestones</li><li>Assist in creating cash flow templates to track project funding and payments</li><li>Prepare invoices and wiring instructions in accordance with contract terms</li><li>Maintain accounting logs to track deposits, invoices, and payment status throughout the project lifecycle</li><li>Obtain required approvals and signatures from payment certifiers</li><li>Support the process of obtaining quotes for project-specific insurance policies</li><li>Place insurance coverage and track premium billing and collection</li><li>Support bonding processes when required, including invoicing for bond premiums</li><li>Monitor escrow account funding and report discrepancies to the project team</li><li>Assist in coordinating with title companies to support project setup</li><li>Help calculate modular unit values for contract draw schedules</li><li>Research and verify state and local sales tax rates and applicable exemptions for project locations</li><li>Collect sales and use tax information for preparation of tax filings</li><li>Help ensure required business licenses are current for each project</li><li>Respond to requests for insurance certificates and policy endorsements during the contracting phase</li><li>Oversee preparing and tracking conditional and unconditional lien releases as required</li><li>Support continuous improvement of contract and exhibit templates</li><li>Review contract and exhibit templates and provide feedback or suggested edits</li><li>Assist with organizing and streamlining contract exhibits for clarity and consistency</li><li>Support updates and improvements to quality assurance and engineering (QA&amp;E) exhibits</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Construction Management, Finance, or Business Administration (or related field) preferred.</li><li>3-5 years&rsquo; experience in accounting, finance, or business operations</li><li>Knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and financial documentation</li><li>Experience using Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, tracking data)</li><li>Skilled with document management and record-keeping</li><li>Exposure to construction or project-based environments preferred not required</li><li>Experience with contract management, ERP, or accounting software (e.g., Procore, Sage, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)</li><li>Knowledge of sales and use tax, invoicing, or compliance processes</li><li>Experience supporting cash flow tracking, budgets, or payment schedules preferred not required</li><li>Familiarity with insurance certificates, bonding, or lien releases (academic or practical)</li><li>Experience working with process improvement or template development</li><li>Comfort learning and implementing new software systems</li></ul>Skills and Abilities: <ul><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a high level of organization and a strong attention to detail are essential.</li><li>Skilled at cross-functional collaboration and building rapport with peers.</li><li>Ability to organize and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.</li><li>Ability to work on-site standard business hours of 8:00am &ndash; 5:00pm Monday-Friday</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, and kneel.</li><li>Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry 50Ibs.</li><li>Moderately loud noise level.</li><li>Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive Pay</li><li>Weekly Direct Deposit</li><li>Paid Vacation and Holidays</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental and Vision Plan</li><li>401(k) plan</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Long-Term and Short-Term Disability</li><li>Indoor controlled climate year-round</li><li>No Regular Travel Required</li><li>Recognition and Teamwork culture</li><li>Safety First Environment</li><li>Opportunity for Growth</li></ul>Note: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Guerdon LLC is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
