Main Purpose:
The Transportation Assistant provides administrative support to the Transportation Manager and facilitates the efficient operation of the transportation department. This position reports directly to the Transportation Manager.
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Plan transportation logistics for crew mobes, training, and urgent, time-sensitive deliveries</li><li>
Assist Transportation Manager with any assigned tasks</li><li>
Assist in transportation services occasionally, including but not limited to driving the company van to pick up personnel, equipment, etc.</li><li>
Utilize Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel to help with tracking logistics</li><li>
Take calls after normal working hours</li><li>
Work late if needed to complete assigned task</li><li>
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor</li></ul>

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>
Ability to operate a motor vehicle</li><li>
Must be able to lift and/or move 15 pounds at times</li></ul>
Job Requirements:<ul><li>
2+ years of oil and gas industry experience in logistics, warehouse logistics, or transportation logistics</li><li>
Must be local to Broussard, LA</li><li>
Provide and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Must be able to pass motor vehicle records (MVR) check</li><li>
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel</li><li>
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines</li><li>
Problem-solving skills</li><li>

Desirable Experience, Education, and Training:<ul><li>
Chauffeur license</li><li>
Highschool diploma or GED</li><li>
Office Assistant experience</li></ul>
Tools, Equipment, and Technology:<ul><li>
Office equipment</li></ul>
Environmental Conditions:
Most of the work is done in an office environment.
