 Project QHSE Manager
 
 , you are responsible to plan, lead, and manage all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) activities at the mine site, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, minimizing operational risks, and fostering a proactive safety culture to achieve zero harm to people, property, and the environment.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:

 QHSE Leadership &amp; Strategy
 
 </li>
 </ol>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific QHSE policies and procedures in line with corporate standards and mining regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead the QHSE team and provide direction to supervisors and line management to ensure safety objectives are met.
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, engagement, and communication across all levels.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <ol>
 <li>
 
 Risk &amp; Compliance Management
 
 </li>
 </ol>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with local and international mining safety legislation and standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop, implement, and maintain site risk assessments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee the management of contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to site QHSE standards.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <ol>
 <li>
 
 Incident &amp; Emergency Management
 
 </li>
 </ol>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Oversee incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and periodically test emergency response and mine rescue procedures, including drills and simulations.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <ol>
 <li>
 
 Safety Training &amp; Competence
 
 </li>
 </ol>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop and coordinate QHSE training programs for all levels of the workforce (including induction, job-specific, and refresher training).
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure supervisors and workers are competent in mine-specific hazards (blasting, confined space, heavy equipment, pit safety, dust, etc.).
 </li>
 </ul>
 <ol>
 <li>
 
 Auditing, Monitoring &amp; Reporting
 
 </li>
 </ol>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Conduct and coordinate internal and external QHSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
 </li>
 <li>
 Track performance trends and report monthly QHSE statistics and analysis to management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Recommend continuous improvement initiatives based on audit and inspection outcomes.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <ol>
 <li>
 
 Environmental &amp; Sustainability Management
 
 </li>
 </ol>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Monitor and control environmental aspects such as dust, noise, water quality, tailings management, and waste disposal.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with environmental permits and mine closure requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote sustainable practices and resource conservation on-site.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 
 <ol>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Occupational Health &amp; Safety, Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, or related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 NEBOSH International Diploma / OSHA Certification or equivalent.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 8 &ndash; 10 years of QHSE experience, with at least 5 years in a mining environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of mining safety laws, environmental standards, and emergency response protocols.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent leadership, investigation, and reporting skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in managing multicultural workforces and remote site operations.
 </li>
