Operations Manager
 
Summary: 
Gulfeagle Supply is searching for an inspired leader that is prepared to take their career in Management to the next level. As one of the industry’s top Building Material Distributors, Gulfeagle openly exercises the development of people and is known for their family-oriented values. In this role, the Operations Manager will support the Branch Manager in leading, managing, and driving accountability across all operational aspects of the Branch and ensure our customers receive the highest quality products and service.
 
Essential Functions: 
<ul>
<li>Accountable for the production cycle times, raw material inventory, analyzing and tracking operational objectives, maintain labor and expense targets, delivery schedules, and supervising hourly staff.</li>
<li>Also responsible for ensuring that the Branch is following O.S.H.A. and D.O.T regulations and when appropriate providing training.</li>
<li>Implementation and operation of all sales credit and administration policies as set forth by the Director of Financial Services affecting both inside and outside sales.</li>
<li>Ensures that orders are for the amounts actually needed to maintain inventory within proper warehouse sales volumes and/or to meet direct shipment needs.</li>
<li>Assists the branch manager with coordination of operations and control departments, including sales office.</li>
<li>Acts as inside salesperson to perform counter sales and customer phone sales, pulling orders, etc., as needed.</li>
<li>Assists in the maintenance of operating expenses within allowable (budgeted) standards.</li>
<li>Ensures the completion of all office paper flow on a timely basis and works to smooth out any flow of procedural problems.</li>
<li>Ensures the sales counter is always staffed with someone available to assist walk-in customers.</li>
<li>Ensures that all customer complaints and problems are handled promptly. This includes all delivery pricing or customer disputes and/or deducts.</li>
<li>Assists the Branch Manager in establishing all facility security procedures and arranges for their implementation through various devices and/or services.</li>
<li>Maintains the company policy with regard to safeguarding customer cash payments made to the branch.</li>
</ul>
Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Strong and professional communication skills (verbal & written) when dealing with customers, vendors, management, and team members.</li>
<li>Minimum 2-5 years in wholesale roofing supplies (or equivalent) environment in middle management position</li>
<li>Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to effectively staff, manage, and motivate personnel</li>
<li>Customer Service mentality with experience in conflict resolution</li>
<li>Ability to operate a PC & related software</li>
<li>Highly organized and efficient at prioritizing workload</li>
<li>Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S</li>
</ul>
**Must be able to pass a company required drug test; employees are subject to random substance abuse screening under company policy**
 
Education: 
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in business related field</li>

Our drivers are responsible for safely driving the most efficient route to the job site, while observing and obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations as well as company policies/procedures. They assist in loading and/or securing materials on trucks daily and help unload materials by using crane, conveyor, piggybacks and/or by hand. Gulfeagle drivers are the face of our Company on the jobsite as they lead, instruct, and supervise others.

Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clear MVR and DOT record</li>
<li>Must be 21 years old or older</li>
<li>Must have current and valid Medical Certification Card</li>
<li>Must have held CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience</li>
<li>Must have high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle</li>
<li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written)</li>
<li>Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions.</li>
<li>Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to climb on a rooftop and ensure proper stacking (location based)</li>
<li>Must have the ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods of time</li>
<li>Must be able to climb a 40’ ladder (location based)</li>
<li>Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of vehicles</li>
<li>Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S</li>
</ul>

Preferred: 
<ul>
<li>Previous material handling a plus</li>
<li>Previous forklift experience</li>
<li>Certified to operate a crane is a plus</li>
