 Scope of the role
 
 
 
 Reporting to the Global IT Project Manager, the BI Data Analyst is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting enterprise-grade business intelligence and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI and the Power Platform.
 
 
 The role acts as a subject-matter expert (SME) for Power BI, enabling data-driven decision-making through high-quality dashboards, governed datasets, automation, and strong stakeholder engagement.
 
 
 
 Main Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Strategic Collaboration &amp; Business Alignment
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with business users, senior management, and IT stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Gather, document, and validate business requirements; recommend analytical approaches aligned with business objectives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Translate complex business problems into technical designs that deliver clear insights and measurable business value.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting effectiveness, and decision-making processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Innovation &amp; Product Development
 </li>
 <li>
 Design, develop, and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards to meet evolving business requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Design and deliver end-to-end analytical and digital solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and AI Builder.
 </li>
 <li>
 Build solution prototypes where needed to validate concepts and accelerate delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with the data architect and data engineering team to design and deliver analytics-ready datasets through data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Document analytical logic, data models, and datasets to support advanced analytics and future enhancements.
 </li>
 <li>
 BI Adoption &amp; Enablement
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as the go-to expert for Power BI and data analytics&ndash;related user queries.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct Power BI end-user training sessions and provide ongoing guidance and best-practice support.
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote effective BI usage patterns and self-service analytics across the organization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Operational Excellence
 </li>
 <li>
 Enforce BI governance standards and best practices to maintain data quality, consistency, and auditability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and optimize report performance and dataset refreshes to ensure stability and scalability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain clear technical documentation, release artifacts, and operational procedures to support sustainable BI operations.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Profile
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Microsoft certifications in Power BI / Power Platform / Fabric are highly preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, with Power BI as a core specialization (SME level).
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent SQL skills and solid understanding of data modelling concepts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good understanding of commodity trading knowledge is a bonus
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong stakeholder management skills; capable of exceeding stakeholder expectations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Self-motivated, proactive, and well-organized, with strong time-management skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Team player with a collaborative mindset.
 </li>
 <li>
 English: Fluent (spoken and written). Any other language an asset.
