Position Overview</b></h2>
<p>
H2 Properties is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented <b>Senior Bookkeeper</b> to take full ownership of our financial systems and help drive operational discipline across our real estate investment business.</p>
<p>
This role is not just bookkeeping &mdash; you will <b>own the financial backbone of the company</b>, hold the team accountable to financial discipline, and help ensure our projects run profitably and efficiently.</p>

Key Responsibilities</b></h1>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Financial System Ownership</b></h3>
<ul><li>Take full ownership of <b>QuickBooks Online</b> and financial workflows</li>
<li>Maintain clean, accurate books across <b>multiple entities and bank accounts</b>
</li><li>Ensure proper coding, categorization, and reconciliation of all transactions</li>
<li>Maintain disciplined financial processes and enforce accounting SOPs</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Weekly Coding Accountability</b></h3>
<ul><li>Lead <b>Monday check-ins</b> to review unidentified transactions</li>
<li>Enforce company rule: <b>No transaction remains &ldquo;unknown&rdquo; for more than two weeks</b>
</li><li>Work directly with team members to resolve missing documentation</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Centralized Payments &amp; Accounts Payable</b></h3>
<ul><li>Manage <b>100% of vendor payments, wires, and accounts payable</b>
</li><li>Ensure all expenses are tracked to the correct <b>PO, project, and entity</b>
</li><li>Transition the company away from decentralized spending</li>
<li>Maintain cash flow visibility and payment accuracy</li>
</ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h1>
<ul><li><b>5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience</b></li>
<li><b>QuickBooks Online expertise (required)</b></li>
<li>Real estate, construction, or development experience <b>strongly preferred</b>
</li><li>Experience with <b>Buildertrend and AppFolio</b> preferred</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage <b>multiple entities and high transaction volume</b>
</li><li>Confidence to hold others accountable &mdash; including ownership</li>
<li>Strong personality and cultural fit with a small team environment</li>
