Inventory control managers plan, oversee and supervise all activities related to inventory control within a store environment. Their main objective is to ensure that all materials are properly stored and that accurate and appropriate levels of inventory are maintained in order to meet customer demand.<br>
<br>
<b>Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Work with a global focus every day, assisting in other work centers as needed</li>
<li>Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages</li>
<li>Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers</li>
<li>Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory</li>
<li>Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory</li>
<li>Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus</li>
<li>Analyze data to anticipate future needs</li>
<li>Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships</li>
<li>Collaborate with store employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met</li>
<li>Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.</li>
<li>Mitigate out of stocks</li>
<li>Maximize inventory turns</li>
<li>Maximize timely credit on returns</li>
<li>Monitor new product requests from guests</li>
<li>Assure all deliveries are checked in and organized</li>
<li>Create a welcoming environment</li>
<li>Understand and carry out oral and written directions</li>
<li>Maintain cooperative working relationships</li>
<li>Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population</li>

<b>Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position</li>
<li>Willingness to learn PDI process and work with them</li>
<li>Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. PDI)</li>
<li>Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports</li>
<li>An analytical mind with strong math skills</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and planning skills</li>
<li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities</li>
<li>Reliable and trustworthy</li>
<li>Ability to lift to 50 pounds</li>
<li>Ability to work quickly restocking items on salesfloor and in coolers</li>
<li>Ability to merchandise product in an appropriate and appealing way to maximize sales</li></ul></div>
