<div><p>Union Square &amp; Co. is seeking a highly organized self-starter to assist the SVP/ Publisher of Union Square &amp; Co. and work alongside the VP/Associate Publisher to support the execution of seasonal publishing programs across Editorial, Design, Marketing, Publicity, and Sales. In this role, you will serve as the key hub of communications across the editorial, design, marketing, publicity, sales and corporate management teams for Union Square &amp; Co.</p><div>
This position is based in our New York City office. Hachette Book Group has a hybrid model is 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home.</div><p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Provide administrative support to the Publisher, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and expense management</li><li>
Coordinate seasonal planning meetings (Launch, Strategy, Sales Conference), including timelines, materials, and follow-ups</li><li>
Partner with Editorial, Marketing, Design, and Sales to compile seasonal title lists and ensure metadata accuracy</li><li>
Manage creation and distribution of sales and catalog materials, including Edelweiss submissions and digital assets</li><li>
Oversee production of sales materials (e.g., galleys, F&amp;Gs) and coordinate print quantities and distribution</li><li>
Track deadlines and follow up on missing assets across teams</li><li>
Prepare presentations, meeting materials, and company-wide communications</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications</b>:</p><ul><li>
1&ndash;3 years of relevant experience. Previous administrative experience supporting a senior executive preferred</li><li>
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Understand the need to maintain highly confidential information</li><li>
Excellent inter-personal, oral and written communication skills</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; publishing systems experience a plus</li><li>
Ability to adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment and evolving industry</li></ul><p><b>

The compensation range for this position is $62,000-$68,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location &mdash; talk with your recruiter to learn more. The Hachette Book Group is seeking a Production Assistant/Associate to coordinate manufacturing responsibilities for backlist titles across all HBG imprints. These primary responsibilities include costing, scheduling, and ordering titles. This role is hybrid, based in our Boulder office, and will require collaborating with teams based in our New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Portland, and Nashville offices.</div><div>

The ideal candidate will be motivated to ensure all assigned titles are manufactured to the highest degree of quality and delivered on time in order to make expected warehouse dates. Candidates need to be capable of working in a deadline-driven and team-oriented environment. Candidates must be able to work well with all vendors, editors, designers, production coordinators, inventory coordinators, and sales representatives in local and remote offices to execute successfully the responsibilities listed below with supervision.</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Effectively and efficiently coordinates all phases of project production and manufacturing dealing with editorial, design, sales, inventory, and marketing departments.</li><li>
Monitors production schedules through coordination with outside vendors as well as all relevant in- house departments to ensure on-time delivery.</li><li>
Organizes and ensures reprint corrections are executed to ensure quality and accuracy.</li><li>
Directs manufacturing of books from domestic and overseas vendors</li><li>
Works with Supervisor to monitor and maintain desired schedules, cost, and quality.</li><li>
Ability to evaluate and recommend best method for manufacturing, for example offset v. digital printing.</li><li>
Coordinates all estimating and printing requests as designated by Inventory to ensure schedule.</li><li>
Attends and participates in regular vendor meetings.</li><li>
Analyzes production specifications in order to propose cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>
Works under minimal supervision, keeping Supervisor and imprint informed of any service disruption or vendor quality issues. Communicates such issues to the vendor in collaboration with Supervisor.</li><li>
Prepares cost estimates, purchase orders and shipping instructions from HBG&rsquo;s title management system as required by vendors and Cost Accounting.</li><li>
Processes invoices in an accurate and timely manner.</li><li>
Explains cost discrepancies as needed.</li><li>
Maintains accurate specification and scheduling information in company database.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

To be considered at the Associate level, 2 years of direct Book Manufacturing experience is a requirement</li><li>
