The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.FLSA Classification: Exempt (salaried)Essential Functions/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Performing takeoffs, reading and interpreting blueprints, project scheduling, and processing submittals.</li><li>Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.</li><li>Helps maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.</li><li>Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, plan/ schedule changes, and recommending actions.</li><li>Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.</li><li>Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information, and recommending actions.</li><li>Maintains all logs with regards to any and all correspondence, memos, and RFI documentation (Request for Information).</li><li>Ensures that correspondence is signed and scanned onto the internal network drive and routed to the appropriate parties.</li><li>Will be assigned other duties &amp; tasks to assist the Accounting &amp; Human Resources Department</li><li>Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function</li><li>This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the role; employees may be required to perform other related functions as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>1 year relevant experience in the construction industry</li><li>Ability to manage multiple complex projects.</li><li>Previous experience with a General Contractor preferred.</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Sage Contractor a plus.</li><li>Required to have a valid Driver&rsquo;s License and clean driving record</li><li>Valid Drive License</li><li>Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check (excluding tests for non-psychoactive cannabis metabolites in accordance with California law).</li></ul>Physical Demands, Screen Time &amp; Ergonomics<ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Requires regular use of a computer, which entails looking at a monitor for extended periods; employer provides ergonomic workstations and rest breaks in accordance with California law</li><li>Frequent use of keyboard, mouse, and telephone</li><li>Occasional reaching, bending or lifting of small packages or files up to 20-25 lbs</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Work is performed in a standard office environment. The employee will use a computer for most of the day in a well-lit, ventilated area. Noise levels are low to moderate. Close exposure to computer screens is constant in this role.
