About the Role
Hall Prangle is seeking to hire a full-time associate in its Carlsbad office who has at least 2 years as a practicing litigator, ideally with experience in the defense of medical malpractice cases and general liability. Associates will work with small teams of attorneys and paralegals, led by seasoned trial attorneys with proven track records, all working collaboratively to efficiently provide our clients with the best possible results. Hall Prangle attorneys are encouraged to maintain a collaborative work environment and to take advantage of the welcoming accessibility to firm partners. Overall, the right candidate will be skilled and hard-working as well as pleasant and personable.
Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide legal counsel and representation to the firm&rsquo;s clients from pre-trial through trial</li><li>Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, written discovery, and agreements</li><li>Attend court hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings</li><li>Conduct legal research and case analysis</li><li>Collaborate with senior associates and partners on case strategy</li><li>Contribute to business development and client relationship management</li></ul>
 What You will Need to Succeed<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school</li><li>Active membership in the California State Bar</li><li>2-5 years&rsquo; experience in the defense of medical malpractice cases and/or General Liability</li><li>Strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures</li><li>Strong litigation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent legal research and writing skills</li><li>Exceptional oral and written communication</li></ul>
