 General Summary
 
 
 
 The
 
 HR Generalist
 
 will play a key role in supporting
 
 Hamilton, Miller &amp; Birthisel
 
 human resources functions across multiple offices. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage day-to-day HR operations, support employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment laws and firm policies.

 Principal Duties/Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead full-cycle recruitment for staff and legal professionals
 </li>
 <li>
 Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
 </li>
 <li>
 Support conflict resolution and promote a positive workplace culture
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain employee records and HRIS systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across jurisdictions
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications
 </li>
 <li>
 Support payroll processing and compensation reviews
 </li>
 <li>
 Support annual review processes and performance improvement plans
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to HR initiatives such as policy updates, wellness programs, and employee engagement strategies
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies when handling sensitive information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends
 
 
 </li>

 Education And Experience
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
 </li>
 <li>
 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, iSolved preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 PHR or SHRM-CP, preferred

 Physical Requirements

 Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
