This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer relations, and hospitality operations.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring a positive first impression.</li><li>Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen.</li><li>Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.</li><li>Serve food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.</li><li>Manage guest needs throughout their dining experience by checking in regularly, handling requests promptly, and resolving any issues with a positive attitude.</li><li>Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and assisting with sanitation protocols.</li><li>Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform basic math for billing purposes while maintaining excellent guest relations.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service standards.</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; experience with OpenTable for reservations is a plus.</li><li>Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.</li><li>Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.</li><li>Experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles that showcase your ability to engage with guests professionally.</li><li>Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks; previous experience with food industry operations is beneficial.
