Job Summary
This role will oversee all aspects of materials planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics in our Gallipolis, Ohio facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that materials and components are sourced, received, stored, and delivered to production efficiently and cost-effectively while supporting quality and on-time delivery goals. Direct reports include Purchasing, Receiving, Production Scheduling, and Shipping.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) systems.</li><li>
Lead production scheduling to support OTD and capacity utilization.</li><li>
Monitor production schedules and escalate material availability issues.</li><li>
Forecast material needs based on production schedules and customer demand.</li><li>
Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies from approved vendors.</li><li>
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.</li><li>
Resolve supply issues and material shortages quickly and effectively.</li><li>
Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production without overstocking.</li><li>
Implement inventory reduction and cost-saving initiatives.</li><li>
Conduct annual Physical Inventory</li><li>
Use ERP/MRP systems to track material movement and performance.</li><li>
Report on KPIs such as inventory turnover, supplier performance, and cost savings.</li><li>
Manage inventory levels, cycle counting, and data integrity across ERP systems.</li><li>
Administer indirect and MRO purchasing in compliance with company policies.</li><li>
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools (e.g., value stream mapping, standard work).</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SIOP and forecasting processes.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.</li></ul>
Preferred Experience or Skills<ul><li>
Minimum 5 years of experience in materials or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>
At least 3 years of experience managing teams.</li><li>
APICS CPIM certification is preferred.</li><li>
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Strong mathematical ability for inventory analysis, cost comparison, and planning.</li><li>
Solid organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain precise records.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with MRP/ERP systems required; MS Dynamics AX preferred.</li></ul>

Requirements:

Education Requirements
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related area. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>
Frequent walking and standing on the production floor.</li><li>
