2026 Summer College Internship Program for Finance - Harbor Foods Group</b></div><div>
An internship will provide exposure to both the cultural and systemic elements of a successful business practice, as well as foster critical and analytical thinking skills, improve interpersonal relations within the area of students&rsquo; interest, and provide an opportunity to observe and learn the intricacies of a business environment in which they are immersed. Harbor internships may also increase a desire to discover new areas of interest and innovation that potentially remain with the student as they move through their college experience into an actual business environment.</div><p><b>
**Harbor Internships are onsite positions in Lacey, WA for students with existing residence in the south Puget Sound region, WA**</b></p><div><b>
 </b><b>Education and Experience:</b></div><ul><li>
Must be a recent graduate within the 2025-2026 academic year, or actively working towards a bachelor&rsquo;s degree with major in Accounting or Finance</li><li>
GPA 3.0 or higher</li><li>
Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting/finance courses and a basic understanding of accounting and finance principles</li><li>
Intermediate Excel course completion</li></ul><div><b>
Compensation: $20/hour</b></div>
Responsibilities:
<div><b>
Essential Job Functions:
</b></div><ul><li>Shadowing members of the Finance department as they perform their duties</li><li>
Learning to work as part of the team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support company&rsquo;s accounting and finance office operations</li><li>
Learning about and utilizing the company ERP system</li><li>
Assisting with financial reporting via data entry &amp; variance analysis</li><li>
Working with various departments across the organization to improve &amp; maintain capital expenditure tracking</li><li>
Facilitating cost savings by helping team understand the cost of asset acquisition vs. leasing</li><li>
Assisting with profit modeling by helping identify the variable costs of the business</li><li>
Various research projects and other duties as assigned by manager</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
</b></div><ul><li>Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges</li><li>
Communication abilities with aptitude in problem solving</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to write business correspondence using correct grammar and spelling</li><li>
Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity</li><li>
Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers</li><li>
Familiar with Microsoft Office, strong 10-key and keyboarding skills required</li><li>
Ability to be accurate and take directions</li><li>
Good time management and task orientation</li><li>
Ability to work well with other team members to foster a respectful and professional work environment</li></ul></div>
